Not quite 28mm
Nice books. The scale is a little off. I built a cottage for my Bolt Action figures and it was too small. Will need to be copied and enlarged. Art work is amazing though.

Diorama
I only have one problem, the sheets don't tear out for use with a copier. Other than that the are easy to read and follow to build. Cant wait till we get to building in my craft group.

Excellent building for war games or dioramas
Peter Dennis and Florian Richter have been producing several scale model buildings for each of the books in Helion's "Paperboys" series of paper model soldier books. This stand-alone book of buildings is suitable for any European battlefield of the 18th-19th century, and includes some fine models most suitable for Spain or Italy. Nominally of 28mm scale, they are deliberately undersized to better fit a gaming table. This book will build a large church, a windmill, a mansion, three village houses, several bridges, a water mill, an enclosed farmhouse, a Sapnish style church, and an assortment of tents, trees, and walls. The pages can be cut out and built without copying, for the main part. I always copy my pages, though, as they often include several optional parts, allowing one building to be modified into several different ones. This makes the book almost a toolkit for the hobbyist, and a great valueIf using an american printer, and letter sized 67 pound paper, print your models at 93% magnification for optimal fit. I have found Scotch quick Drying Tacky glue to give fine results for assembly.

I absolutely love these models!
I love Peter Dennis' work, and these are great additions. They are easy to build and have great artwork. The best of all is that they are actuall made so you really can't destroy the book. You need to copy them and use the copies. I print on cardstock and they come out really nice. I think I have all of his PaperBoys sets (If not, I need to rectify it quickly). I'm introducing these to my grandsons.

Great set
A lovely set of buildings that will work from the 1600'sup to WWII, maybe even later. Rather than print onto card, I've been having them copied onto a nice paper and then glued onto foam core for strength. You'll need a small miter box and sharp craft knife to make 45 degree cuts so the walls set flush, but better yet, go to a framing store and buy a mat cutter. That allows you to cut any sort of angle you wish. These buildings match right up with the style used for the paperboys and thus you'll have a uniform look on your tabletop or whatever surface you choose to game on.

No More excuses for Empty Battlefields!
We’ve all been there. Looking down on our wargames table, it looks somewhat bare, a green baize cloth, dotted with trees, but ultimately devoid of items blocking site. Boring! Or maybe you want a running battle through a city e.g. the outskirts of Moscow 1812, but due to the prohibitive cost of wargames scenery, it’s not cost effective. It’s not just me. Think no more.Florian Richter and Peter Dennis have done it again. Within its covers you get numerous churchs, mills, mansions and houses to populate your wargames table. A bargain if ever I saw one.Beautifully illustrated, easy to construct (compared to other wargames paper buildings) these will brighten up even the most drab of wargames tables. While listed as covering late-17th century onwards, barring the mansion house, I don’t see any reason that these could not be utilised as early as the 15th century. Of course it is all in the eye of the beholder.Deemed to become a classic, once again covering as many bases of experience within wargaming, model making, wargaming and dioramas, this is a must have the discerning gamer. Now if only Helion could be persuaded to do the same for timber crooked, Stalingrad Ruins, Military earthworks…

Great for wargame table, or even model railway scenery
A great selection of buildings, both Northern European and Spanish/other med countries. Designed to be used with Peter Dennis' Paperboys range of cut out soldiers, if I can put it so crudely. However, they are about HO scale, so can be used for model railways also and would fit in very nicely with a continental early railways period diorama. My personal favorites are the Spanish/Med style buildings, which really lend themselves to a lot of customisation, thus by printing the same building a few times, you can create a whole village/town with a lot of variety (Some with balconies or patios or both, etc.Recommended

Another excellent product from this range
I have no problem with using the buildings with either 20mm or 28mm figures. An excellent quick and affordable way to populate your battlefield. Bear in mind however, that there are no interior areas for anyone who likes putting their models inside buildings unless you want to do some customisation.
