Nice and thin
I started with a different brand but they were so thick they were distracting, so I switched to these for use with my 5RV Lyre. I still bite but I don't feel like I'm damaging the mouthpiece now and it's thin enough that I don't think about it when playing. It was easy to apply and reapply after goofing up the placement first time around. It's held up well through 3 months of (almost) daily play.

When simple things are designed right, they're like these...
I have developed towering respect for Vandoren out of my own experience with their products over the decades. Why? they design things intelligently, they have proven they must have excellent quality control, and their quality products are ones I've come to rely upon. That includes these mouthpiece pads. (Funny side story; I stupidly thought I'd save money and buy cheap pads from China. Nope. How could they get them wrong I thought? Well the Boao branded pads are to be avoided like a plague. They don't know adhesive. You can read my review over their if you want, but don't waste your time). But then there is Vandoren and Vandoren knows what they're doing. That's why I have now returned to them and pay their price. Super. They just work. Vandoren knows about the right adhesive. Their mouthpieces are some of the best for the money anywhere on planet earth. Their reeds are consistently top-drawer quality. If i sound like a fan of Vandoren it's because I don't like being screwed by shabby manufacturing. Vandoren is the opposite. They're simply great.

I was skeptical, but these really are great.
I played sax for over a decade with just the mp, no pad, so I doubted these would be very beneficial, but they really make a big quality of life improvement.Easy to install, comfortable, and appear to last a long time (at least for me). I have been practicing a couple of hours a day for about 3 weeks now and I'm still using the 1st one - still looks good as new.Do your gnashers a favor and get these!

Go with the Vandies!
I can't play without having a patch to help keep the mouthpiece in proper position. (OK, I could, but do not want to.) These will keep your mouthpieces and/or their bite plates from getting scratched and eaten up too.The Vandoren patches work well - just like their competitors who are reputable. (All probably made by 3M anyway). They cost more than the no-name patches you can get on the internet, but they're worth every penny. The no-names have adhesive that either doesn't stick, or sticks too well, and typically have flimsier plastic for the patch.Vandoren makes great mouthpieces, they deserve a great patch. I have these on all of my clarinets from Eb through bass, saxophones from soprano thru bari. They are much cheaper than having to get a new mouthpiece.

Saves wear and tear on those expensive mouthpieces.
After I paid big bucks to get my mouthpiece repaired where my teeth wore through the pad and down to the brass, I decided to try a few different brands and types of pads. This was the winner. It's thin, and strong enough to keep my teeth from denting the mouthpiece itself. It adheres to European standards for toxicity, which are much more stringent than those in the USA. It lasts longer than the soft type of pads, and when it finally wears out, it's easy to peel off and replace.

Good mouthpiece cushion.
It's very easy to peel off and leaves NO residue at all. Just wash it off after peeling and it looks just as new.

If you haven't used these, and you care about your mouthpiece and your upper incisors, get them!
Vandoren makes great quality products and these are among them. I'm a retired dentist, and have played sax since I was a kid. Whether you play on hard rubber or metal mouthpieces, these provide a gentle cushion, they don't affect your sound or the seal of your embouchure, they protect the surface of your mouthpiece from your teeth. And they last for years. I have them on every one of my mouthpieces.

For a more secure tooth rest, with just enough give...brilliant!
Useful innovation to protect both a player's expensive hard rubber mouthpiece, AND the player's upper teeth! Since any single reed instrument is balanced by the player's teeth and right hand thumb (and a neck strap, if the instrument is large enough to require such), it is helpful for that mouthpiece to NOT slide around in a player's mouth! Decades ago, I used to build up players of waterproof first aid tape, to make a cushion for my teeth so they wouldn't hurt when I had to do all sorts of busy movements in college marching band performances. This is a more elegant solution, with enough padding to protect teeth and mouthpiece from one another, matches the mouthpiece color (that white tape was just plain UGLY), and seems to have adhesive that holds until you peel the pad off on purpose (not by accident). Highly recommended!

Realmente son duraderos y funcionan de maravilla
Vandoren siempre hace buenos productos, son muy duraderos y generan un gran soporte a la embocadura, aunque considero que son mejor los transparentes, estos tambien sirven mucho.

Right thickness
These are a good thickness and help with comfort and reduce vibrations when playing. Easy to apply and they stick very well.
