Very intuitive and accurate
I set this meter up for a Windows 10 and 7 machines and it is very easy to use. I tested the three current ranges using known trickle currents and the meter is very accurate. It is set up much like any VOM. I did have trouble with the red lead giving intermittent open circuit! I used other cords and proved that it was the cord and not the meter. They offered to send new cords, but i have so many in the lab they did not need to. I used a small flat screwdriver to open the male prong of the cable and it now works just fine. Their response was very rapid and helpful. The apparatus works perfectly. Some comment about the battery cover: When the screws are out, simply turn the VOM over and the cover falls out.

Great meter for the money but needs a few finishing touches.
First off they need to have an obvious website to download the software from. (I have the USB connected version). People don't always have CD drives these days so the included CD is probably a waste of time and the companies money. Also the software connection via usb com port could be a bit more helpful. It requires fishing around for which com port to pick, then my Windows 7 automatically set baud correct but my Windows 10 computer did not. 2400,N,8,1 is the correct com settings and that has to be changed in Windows Control Panel if not correct. A minor detail is the Save Excel format gives a warning when reading in actual Excel but you can ignore that warning. Overall I love the software as it is simple and effective, fastest sample rate is 2/second. To answer others questions I have run the pictured set up for 32 minutes without the auto-power off shutting it down! So overall 4 out of 5 Stars!

Not great. Non-standard USBA to USBA, not Windows 11 compatible, software not available online
Bought this exclusively for datalogging. I did not use it at all after opening the box and returned it right away. USB port is not standard: includes a USB-A to USB-A (even more rare than the USBA to B of the printers and scanners of yesteryear). Software link did not work. Software CD was cracked, but magically got the software out. Not compatible with Windows 11. I returned it right away and bought a (more expensive) OWON benchtop multimeter with datalogging

Probes don't make electrical connection
The meter and its features are OK, but the safety probe banana plugs did not make connection, no matter how far I pushed the plugs into the instrument. I had to use standard banana plugs. AFTER9 MONTHS OF LIGHT USE, THE METER READS "OVERRANGE" WHEN I MEASURE A 9 V BATTERY. THIS METER IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!!!!

Seems great so far!
Probably the best "Bang for your buck" in terms of USB meters. Pros: - Auto-Ranging - USB (which is insane for this price range) - Auto-Backlight - Seems sturdy - Temperature Sensor included - VERY accurate (tested it against a couple more expensive non-usb meters I have) - The probes that ship with it seem to work well Cons: - The battery compartment is pretty hard to remove. I ended up unscrewing it, then running some Duct-Tape over it, and removing the tape along with the compartment lid. Not a really big issue though after you've opened it once and know what to do. A bit more about the USB: - The app that ships with it seems to be decent, and allows you to change the update interval. However, it would be nice if the app had a "snap" button that allowed you to take snapshots, instead of just a constant "on" stream or "off" completely. The list get's a little cluttered on long sessions. -It seems to be a standard COM Serial connection. This means you can make your own app to work with it if you know how to code one. All in all, I'm impressed with this meter. That battery compartment was a challenge though!

Ok for the money
UPDATE: Two days after receiving the meter LCD backlight (photocell controlled) started flickering. No way to disable it. Very annoying. It's a $40 Chinese meter so wasn't expecting much. Sending it back. Meter is ok for the money for ball park data collection and electrical checks. I'm using it to record heater elements cycle times so not worried about accurate readings. Let's face it... it's a low cost Chinese meter. Setting up the software/USB was a little challenging and typical broken english translation. Instruction sheet is printed in 2pt type so you need a magnifying glass to read it. Software is really bare bones on a CD minidisk so you need a CD drive. What laptop has a cd drive anymore?? I had to copy it to a USB stick to load it in my laptop. Would be nice in this age of the internet to have a website to simply download the software. Had to get into the laptop device manager and setup the serial comm port for 2400 baud rate the restart the laptop for the changes to take affect. The meter... seems to work as advertised and data logs ok. Nothing special and software can't be configured except the sample rate. Can change the sample rate from 240/minute (2x a second) to one minute. The USB port is hidden under cover on top of the meter and requires a very small Philips screw driver to remove two very small screws to remove the cover. Poor design and sure the screws will get lost. The temperature probe is about +6 degrees high compared a calibrated digital temperature gauge. Also it only displays in degrees C... no way to change it to degrees F. Really?? Voltage and resistance measurements seem fairly accurate. As I said its a very low cost meter so don't expect it to have the accuracy and features of a $500 Fluke DVM.

Data logging feature is great but software can be hard to find
We chose this DMM because of it's ability to link to a PC for real-time logging of readings. It was specifically for a science project. The disk that came in the box didn't work for us (I think the included instructions took us to a dead website), but we eventually found the software online and it got the job done. 4 stars because of the software issue, but besides that it was great.

Extremely poor Support-would not buy again
The product works but the interface to the PC never did. The supplied CD was defective across 3 players. The link to software was defunct. Emails to the company went unanswered. The meter works well. That's about it. The datalogging, which is the reason I purchased it, is non-existent.

Capable and cheap multimiter.
The meter has a very good performance . With the possibility of connection via USB to a computer using the software included with the package. You can monitor voltage, current, temperature schedule in periods of time over 1 minute. Clear display with automatic backup light. Temperature sensor included with long metal stick allowing to read in a deep recipient. Bag included and USB cable. Finished ok. Cables ok. For the price and capabilities I think it worst to buy it.

Software does not work, use an alternative
You need to use some other software - UltraDMM with model Uni-T UT60E (windows) and digital-multimeter from pip (Linux, Python) worked for me. Very happy when I figured this out. When reading voltage but with no connection, the meter autoranges to mV and then begins to integrate an error, it continually counts upwards - not a problem on any other scale or when it is connected to something. When first connecting to a voltage, the meter massively over-reads then drops back to the actual reading (on screen or through the software display, mainly a problem for remote logging or software reading. Excellent value, same meter elsewhere (even on Amazon) would still have been good value at nearly 3x the price

First impressions: I wish I could give it 5 stars...
This meter offers a LOT of functionality for the price. In particular, it's really hard to find computer interfaces in low priced meters. Everything is there. Some of it is a little weird, but you expect that when you're saving this kind of money. I tried basic voltage measurements and compared them to my "good" EEVBlog 121GW meter. DC voltage on an alkaline battery differed in the bottom digit. AC voltage on a wall socket differed by about one percent (but I don't necessarily encourage sticking these probes in a wall socket even if the meter does say class III on the front). Since I plan to donate this meter for high school science projects where they're lucky they get with 10 percent of anything, I think that's more than acceptable. The computer interface works with sigrok-based tools if you cheat and tell it that you're using another meter with (presumably) the same chipset. I told sigrok-cli and smuview that I had a "digitek-dt4000zc", and both seemed to receive sane data on all ranges. In my experience, you use a multimeter for voltage and resistance. Sometimes current if you're an actual electronics geek, but that's less common. Temperature is nice because it saves you from having another completely different instrument. I don't know how useful some of the other ranges are. If I want to test a diode, I can do that by swapping the leads on a resistance test... and if I want to CHARACTERIZE a diode, a multimeter won't do it. I don't think I've ever cared to measure a capacitor, although I guess some people may do that. The loaded battery test on this meter looks like it might be useful. I suspect the microamp range has too much burden to be useful, but I have NOT tested that and can't actually say it's true. I haven't actually tried any ranges other than voltage and temperature (and temperature is really just voltage), nor have I tried the computer interface or the software. I will edit this review when and if I do. Now, of course, the construction isn't overwhelmingly durable or sexy, but you don't expect that for $40. The probes are stiff, plated with who-knows-what, and will probably fail relatively soon, but you DO expect that for $40. It looks like they changed the probes at some point during production, and the ones I got don't fit into the holders on the back of the meter very well. The type A USB connector requires a weird cable (included with the meter), but it works. Little stuff like that would get a $300 meter a two-star review if it was lucky, but it's totally understandable at this price point. What you're getting here is a lot of functionality for not much money. I'm editing this review, because I originally wrote that the temperature measurement didn't work. That was because I used the wrong jacks to connect the thermocouple, because every other meter does it a different way and I failed to properly read the markings on the face. If you don't connect the probe, you get the temperature of the meter body, presumably from some internal reference thermocouple. Once you hook it up right, it works. The jack spacing is weird, so expect to have to do a little work to adapt any thermocouple other than the one that comes with it. The connectors on the included one are a hack and will definitely fail if used a lot or not treated very carefully... but I didn't expect the meter to include a thermocouple at all.

Used two times and now does not work on DC voltage
This meter was purchased last November 2020 and worked fine. I used it twice with no problems. I put it away because I mostly use a different meter. Now today, I pulled it out to check some batteries and the meter wont give any readings. The display just keeps randomly changing unrequested values. I changed the battery but that doesn't help. Two days later the meter is working OK Very strange. I will continue to use this meter as my preferred one to see if it fails again.
