Sweet dress-up mouse - larger than expected!
This mouse is adorable and is a good substantial size! The button on his jacket is at least an inch across. He was a gift for my niece's second birthday, and she almost immediately unzipped the jacket. Another reviewer was disappointed that the jacket doesn't completely unzip, but it's very hard for little hands to align an open zipper and could lead to frustration, so I think it's a good design. The mouse itself is very soft, sort of a velveteen fabric, so there's added play value as a snuggly friend. I also liked that the colors are bright and gender neutral, so when my niece outgrows it, her little brother can play with it. There's nothing about the doll itself or the clothing that suggests it's a girl vs. a boy; no ruffled underwear etc.Overall, I think this toy was a good value, seems to be high quality, and was just what I hoped. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another, and would recommend it to others looking for a learn-to-dress toy.

For older children
I bought this for my one and a half year old, because he was starting to try and put on his socks etc. The mouse is very cute however, it is very difficult to dress and undress. The mouse is very soft so dressing it is like trying to stuff a pillow into a narrow case. In particular, the jacket does not unzip all the way so the only way to remove it is over the mouse's ears and head. To put it on you have to work the ears through a little at a time which is quite challenging for little hands. The shoes are made of very thin nylon which makes them very difficult to put on - the mouse's feet are round and bulky and the shoes have a narrow opening and don't retain their shape. This also makes the buckle very hard to open and close because any little tug that is not exactly at the center of the buckle pulls at the sides. I think the mouse is great for older children with bigger hands who have some experience with dressing themselves. For a little one just starting to explore the process the combination of a very soft but bulky body and narrow clothes openings or lack of shape makes the mouse very difficult to dress.

We love mousey!
I was debating between this and the Monkey sold by another brand. I ended up choosing Mousey because there were some complaints about quality on the monkey. When he arrived, I was really pleased with the quality. But the most important thing is that my 20 mo son LOVES Mousey. Right now he mostly plays with his hood and his zipper, but we've been showing him how to work the buckle and button, and he'll pick those up soon. But Mousey has also become one of my son's favorite stuffed toys, aside from all of the learning options. My only criticism is that I wish the second pocket had velcro instead of just being open. But that's something I can fix easily on my own.

cute mouse
I didn't give this mouse 5 stars because the button was impossible for an adult to unbutton until I cut the buttonhole a little larger but it is cuter than those people dress me dolls! I am going to sew velcro on the pocket flap that has nothing to learn on it. The zipper would be easier to use if I sew snaps to keep the jacket ends down, but I think with practice, the child I bought this for will figure it out and then be undressing herself....It is okay, just needs a little more work to make it more useful.

I love it!
Cute, colorful mouse!! I bought this toy for my 2 year old granddaughters' birthday. I love it!!. I have not mailed it to her yet, as I have other gifts to include in the package. I know she'll enjoy playing and learning with Squeak E Mouse.

My Mother-in-law loved this little doll!
My Mother-in-law has Dementia and always asks for her baby. This doll was perfect because she was allowed to dress and undress it which kept her busy. My goal was to give her an alternative to her 'busy apron' and this doll was great. She recently had hip surgery and the doctors were kind enough to allow her to take her baby with her during the procedure. She's recovering wonderfully and I like to think her Mouse has a lot to do with it. I will be ordering another so she'll have 2 babies.

OT Grandma Endorsed
Gift for my 18 month old grandson to begin working on dressing skills. Cute lil' fellow-pleasing to the eye/touch- colorful and soft. Nice attention to detail (the design must have been changed since the earlier reviews- has Velcro on the second pocket, and the button fits nicely on the other one.) Love the styling hoodie.No- your child will not learn to dress from this toy, but a nice way to introduce and reinforce skills.

Good Doll
I bought this doll for my daughter's first birthday. She is still a little to young for it, as she just wants to chew on it. I think she will appreciate it more in a few months. Great learning potential.
