Vionic Relax - Orthaheel Orthotic Slippers

Love the shoe but, like any fabric lined slipper worn w/o socks, it will need cleaning and 'refreshing' at some point. Manufacture's care guidelines didn't work (damp wipe) and you can't toss this wonderful - and expensive! - slipper into the wash or dishwasher. I did manage to get mine clean & dry & oder free free with Dawn dishwashing liquid, clean damp cloth, kitchen brush, paper towels and a hand vac. Here's a picture of mine with 1 clean and 1 before cleaning. Happy to share details of process if anyone is interested.

I am tempted to give 5 stars because these are the most comfortable slippers I have ever worn and this is my second pair. But I had to take off one star because they are too wide and don't come in narrow. I have to take them to a shoe repairer to see the flap closed. When I pull it far enough to stay on my foot, there is not enough Velcro touching to keep it secure. Also, I don't like any of the colors. It comes in black(ugh), and light pink and blue, either of which are too pale, they would immediately show dirt and stains. So this is my second of the animal prints, which I don't like, but anyway because my plantar fasciitis does not hurt when I wear them! I would buy other Vionic shoes if they were attractive, so I suggest they hire someone to design shoes that keep the comfort and are also nice-looking.

I almost haven't taken these off my feet since they got here a few days ago. I've got plantar fascitis and very pronated feet, and they've been getting worse since we moved to a house with all wood and tile floors. These slippers haven't instantly gotten rid of my pain, but they're definitely helping. I keep them next to my bed, and put them on before I stand up in the morning and now the pain is tolerable. I'm hoping my feet will start improving now that they're properly aligned.The slippers also have a flexible plastic bottom so I can wear them outside to check the mail. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm not a huge fan of the styling. I kind of feel like I'm wearing my grandma's house shoes. It's worth it, but I would have liked something a little cuter.**Edit: 3 months later and I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. I don't care what they look like. I want to wear them all the time they feel so good. Great slippers.**Edit: It's 4 years later and I still have these. They're pretty worn out, but still structurally sound. I don't wear them much any more because... my plantar fasciitis is gone! They were a lifesaver in making it so I could get around my house when the pain was at its worst. There were days I thought I'd end up with a walker or a wheelchair, but I'm better now. Tip - If you frequently sit in a recliner with your feet hanging off the edge or toes pointed - think about changing the way you sit. Making that one adjustment changed my life.I'm back here today getting a pair of these slippers for my mom for her birthday.Best of luck to all of you with your foot pain!

My sister introduced me to these Vionics a few days ago. I broke both of my ankles May of 2016. Oh My!!! I wish I would have known about them. I have been suffering for a long time trying to find something I could wear around the house. Also, recently we bought a new house me with all tile downstairs. These shoes are working wonders. I recently (2 weeks ago) had the hardware removed from the left ankle. I am sooooo happy to get back to being "my" normal. These will be one big piece of the puzzle. I know the pics are ugly... but I'm still healing since hardware removal. Buy these shoes!!!!!

I'm writing this to hopefully help someone decide on a size. I ordered the black in size 7. Beautiful quality (they are Uggs afterall) and so comfortable. I wear in other shoes, between a 7 and a 7.5..leaning more to the 7.5. My son bought a pair for his girlfriend size 8. I tried them on before ordering mine. They fit snug at first so i was going to order the 8's. Then i realized they had a little bit of play in the back. Reading reviews i was confused on what size to get because a few people said they would stretch. I ordered the 7 and was so glad I did. They fit very snug when first put on but they have give to them. I wore them all day today and they have relaxed and now fit perfectly and are very comfortable. Please note i have narrow feet, I don't know if some of the people needing to go up a size had wider feet...hope this helps.

I had a spinal fusion almost 3 years ago but was recently in another car accident. I am constantly working on home projects and chasing my toddler, my knees and back are barking all day everyday.I would have given the product the benefit of the doubt based on my unique circumstances but I just can't. I wore these slippers around my house for a total of 5 hours and they wore down to the nitty gritty. The pictures don't do it justice (sorry for the dog hair distraction).They also caused pain on the tops of my feet which subsequently felt like knifes shooting through my toe bones with every step I took. This might be circumstantial to my medical issues but it took me days to recover.I assume if you are looking for orthotic house shoes you either have a bad back or bad knees, I have both. If you are are willing to invest serious money in your physical comfort and health and you don't just want quality, you NEED it for daily functioning. Falling apart after 6 weeks.I have worn these around the house for approximately 6 weeks and the fabric at the heels has already worn through. Very disappointed, especially given how much I paid for them.

For some reason, these caused more pain for a back with scoliosis and advanced degenerative disc disease.

Great arch support as expected. Soft and comfy, too.

Feel great on my feet for my plantar fascitis. The only problem is fabric wears out too fast. Needs a thicker more durable lining.

This is my second pair of Vionic slippers. I can't stand to walk barefoot on hard floors. These feel very secure on my foot with good support.
