Piece of mind
Extra piece of mind after having a hernia following childbirth. Great quality and adjustable so it is supportive and comfortable.

The best band I’ve ever used!!
I’ve used a dozen core/waste bands over the last year and a half and this band is “hands down the best!!!”The others were either to wide, or to thin, the fastener would not stay attached, they used rubber that made me sweat and cause skin irritation, the material was poor quality and would start wearing and lose form and fit in a short amount of time or were just to uncomfortable to wear for any length of time! This band is sturdy, breaths, the fastener is well made and does not lose it’s hold even when working out or performing other physical tasks and I can wear this over an under garment (tee shirt) and wear a Dress or casual shirt over it tucked in and bloused up slightly and it is not visible. I really like this one and highly recommend it to anyone who needs abdominal/core/Back support. In my opinion there are only (2) Cons:1) The Hernia pad is too rigid and uncomfortable as well as being to deep, causing pain at the sight it is place upon.2) It prints your skin somewhat but I didn’t feel that it was a problem because I wear mine pretty tight!*Those are the only Cons and neither one is a problem. I suggest not using the indent pad. The material is strong and flexible, and in my opinion it’s not necessary. If your on the fence about buying another waist support band for any reason, this one will not disappoint! Like I mentioned earlier I’ve tried quite a few and this by far has been the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing.Good luck! God bless you. Sincerely, -Bruce

Pretty cool
Well looks like I’m gonna give this belt a try. Hopefully it’ll help my umbilical hernia while I exercise. Just wish it was more snug even after pulling on it. But pretty cool.Update:It worked well during my work out. I had to adjust it a few times but it worked. Hernia didn’t hurt during workout. It was comfy. For those who are confused on how to use the belt. The “nipple” hard part of the disk pad goes against your belly button. It keeps the hernia in place if you will.Took me a few times to adjust it but worked just fine.

Odd smell/no cleaning instructions
Just received item. Has very odd, pungent odor. Can’t say I smelled anything like it before. Not really a rubbery or plastic smell. Hopefully it will air out.On the plus side, I found it easy to put on and take off, at least over a t-shirt. Too early to report the comfort level.Found no laundering instructions. I assume it should be air dried but what kind of soap is permissible to avoid damaging the material and Velcro? Machine or hand washed?

Works Ok For Me
I actually got this belt for post op second hernia surgery. I had a ventral hernia right above my belly button fixed with a mesh and tacs. I had to get that all removed because of two years of continuous pain due to the mesh and the tacs digging into my muscles. I simply got sewed up this time around and used this belt to keep the swelling down and insure I don't have another reoccurring issue. I wanted to be serious about it this time and tried to do everything right this time. Including eating right, rest, various supplements to aid with swelling etc. This belt added extra support as the one they provide in the hospital was way too loose. Now that I gave a little background on my situation now to describe the product. The belt arrived 2 days after ordering. I noticed right away that I could probably wrap it twice around my body... They sent the wrong size. I ordered a s/m and got sent a xxl. Immediately I started a return and they shipped out the right size right away! Props for that. To my dismay the s/m is still a little big. They should really have a xs/s size for those with a small waist such as myself. Besides my inability to make it as tight as I want it without assistance, it really seems to hold things in. I tried the egg thing for extra support but I can't use it at this time as it creates too much pressure in my tender area above the belly button due to the recent surgery. At this time the belt itself provides enough relief. I don't find it uncomfortable. It's not really noticeable under loose fitting clothing. It stretches nicely so I did stretch it tighter around my waist then safety pin it to get it to stay. It's a good choice for the price. Next time I may get something that covers more area for complete tummy support though, I don't have a long torso being 5'3, but I do find throughout the day I have to adjust the belt back to its original position (this could actually be due to my swelling flaring up and down throughout the day so you may not experience this). Overall I recommend it definitely before any surgery and can be used after.
