Incredible knife for the price
The fact that this knife is as cheap as it is makes no sense.. Have used it a few times already on various recipes, and the knife is an absolute joy to use and looks stunning. The edge out of the box was already very sharp though not very polished, but i was able to use my whetstone to put a truly razor sharp edge on it.The knife is weighted perfectly for a pinch grip and has a great overall weight to it, does not feel even remotely chintzy. The edge retention seems to be pretty great for a stainless steel. There is also a fantastic distal taper to the blade, which lends itself to fine, more detailed cutting work, like slicing garlic for example. The knife also has a great blade curve to it with a nice big belly, which makes chopping and rock chopping very nice.Overrall, would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a knife in this price-range. I honestly like using this more than my Japanese knife that costs 10 times as much. It's a true workhorse and aesthetically gorgeous in my opinion.Couple of things to note:The knife came with a (very) slight bend to it, but i was able to bend it perfectly true without too much effort. The longterm edge retention is up in the air because ive only had the knife about a week, but at this price i don't even mind if its just average and i have to sharpen it more often. That said, I will report back in a few months with more insight on the edge retention if it becomes an issue. Also, I dont think there is a 29 degree angle to the blade as advertised. I think it's much closer to a 15-20 degree edge, which is actually a good thing.

Now that’s a knife!!
I collect kitchen knives, I have old Sabatier knives, German knives, Japanese knives, American knives, new knives, vintage knive, knives with advanced edge high hardness high edge retention steel, carbon steel, various stainless steels......this Foxel knife is better than many hundred dollar knives. The blade profile is gorgeous and utilitarian. The blade width is wide good for knuckle clearance and scooping product, the tip has nice distal taper for fine work, there’s no bolster which runs to the edge so the entire blade can be sharpened and used, the out of box edge is very sharp, the balance I. Hand is perfect, not to heavy and not to light. Outstanding knife for the ridiculous low price wow!

Great deal! $20 for a $60 to $90 knife!
Straight out of the box I was a bit disappointed. Cutting a tomato, it did not slice through like butter. But then it occurred to me it might need sharpening. I have one of those 3 stage sharpeners and put it through stage 1 three times, stage 2 six times, and stage 3 ten times. After that it was really sharp and cut very well, though I think it could use some tender loving leather care and then it will be perfect. I bought a 2nd one for my daughter.

Beautifully Built and Sharp as Heck
Sharp, solid, and a great value for the price!! Warning: this ships out super sharp. This is a great addition to our kitchen. Keep it out of the dishwasher to keep it lasting a long time...and do keep it away from kids. It's very sharp.

Best Value by a long shot!!!
I've been a chef for 20 years and I've used a lot of knives , but for the price your paying with this knife you will not find anything better on the market. I've been using it hard for a week now and I haven't even had to put it to the steel yet, definitely going to buy a couple more for my house. The only thing I will say is that it came sharpened a bit unevenly but I put on my stone and smoothed it right out. For under thirty dollars this is definitely gets five stars from me!!

So dull right out of the box
This knife is shockingly bad. It comes in a nice box and has nice weight to it, but wow is it dull. It can barely slice through a red pepper!

It works
It's a cheap knife, and it should get the job done. Not easy on the hands if you've got arthritis, and I've had a tough time sharpening it because there is only a burr on one side of the knife, which is pretty lame.

Excellent quality !
Incredible knife that could sell for $80 and it holds a sharp edge. Balance is great as is the effortless way it cut through food prep.
