Q: Does it dry & set? Can you use it to make permanent sculptures?

Yes it dries and sets. It is not a true clay but more of a poly foam type material that if made thinly is still flexible after dry.

Q: Can its be used to mold prosthetics?

No. It’s more of an elastic clay that stretches. Also, when it dries, it’s still fluffy in texture, not stiff.

Q: I followed the directions on the back and it’s a sticky mess that won’t come off our hands! What am I doing wrong?

It should not be that sticky to start. I order it for my niece regularly and it is definitely soft and little sticky, but not in a bad way. My niece makes slime with it and we have found that adding a little activator makes most of these products less sticky. You can use contact lens or any saline solution or make our own with a tsp of borax mixed with a cup of warm water.

Q: Realistically, how many batches of butter slime can be made using this?

Although it probably depends on the amount of slime being made, I'd say at least 3-4 when making one batch of slime from one container of glue, etc.
