Intermatic2T2502GA Pool/Spa Plastic Enclosure Timer

Amazing!!! Can I say it again? AMAZING !!! I bought this plastic enclosure for our swimming pool timer 17 years after the original one was installed on the new house. Nothing wrong with the timer but the enclosure door was damaged over the years at the hinges and finally gave out last month whereby it no longer stays closed. The "amazing" thing is after all these years without specific drawings or dimensional prints, the new one fits perfectly. Thank you Intermatic and Thank you Amazon. Took a gamble but they came through. No one else would sell the enclosure without the whole unit at over $100.00. Maybe at an electrical distributor, but that would require a lot of searching and leg-work, and certainly a lot more than the $28.00 I paid (including shipping with two day delivery). BTW, this was very important since the rainy season has started here and the storms are back with high winds which would definitely blow off the door and short out the timer. This item fits perfectly, including the lock mechanism and waterproof seal. I'd rate it an extra star if I could ...

Works as expected. I have a used Intermatic timer mechanism (100 series) from an old pool pump, I wanted to re-purpose it as a garden light timer. The original steel box was trashed, all I needed was a box to house the timer.This plastic one is OK, the timer mechanism snaps into proprietary clips inside the box, no screws needed to attach it. Standard 1/2" and 3/4" punch outs to attach the conduit. 3 holes to screw it to the wall. There is no gasket around the door as I'd expected but there is a lip and it is rated as water (rain) proof and I'm sure it is.The metal versions of these are pretty much bomb proof, this plastic one not so much. The latch on the door will probably snap eventually when the plastic gets brittle from being out in the sun, etc. I expect to get several good years out of it.

It was an exact replacement case . Does require some electrical skills... you must unwire current timer switch and install in new case.

This enclosure is came as expected and has also functioned as expected. We are using it to hold an Intermatic T104 208-277-Volt 24 hour Timer. The timer is located externally and powers our pool pump. This enclosure it weather tight and made to resist the elements mother nature throws at it. The timer was easily removed from the internal metal enclosure it came with and slid right into this enclosure. It was easy to install and the color of it even matched the shed it is mounted to externally.The only reason I gave this item 4 stars, instead of 5, was due to the cost of the item. At the time of purchase it cost me $30.00 some dollars. This seems quite high to me, due to the fact that I can purchase the Timer with its internal enclosure for around $50.00. This item is nothing more than a molded plastic box that clips to keep it weather tight.Other than the cost, the item is excellent, and I would recommend it to a friend and purchase it again if need be.

The lid, or door, to my Intermatic control was broken. Not a big deal as it was 18 years old. As I discovered, you can’t buy just the lid, so I purchased the cabinet. Getting the hinged lid off the box is a bit tricky, but once that was done, the lid fit the old box just fine. It all took about 15 minutes. Avoided having to redo the entire box and control, but restored water proofing. Will save the box base as any hit will probably break it.

It is what it is a plastic copy of Intermatics' metal pool time box which makes replacement a bit easier. However, the cost of this unit is so over the top for the quality, I am questioning the purchase.

Finally found at a good price. Still can't believe they want so much for these boxes.

Pricey, but effective. Years of exposure to the sun made the original brittle and caused the cover to break. Bought the case and the cover and managed to separate the two so that I could use the new cover on the old case (sparing me from a little screwdriver work). Wish that Intermatic could sell only the cover for a reduced price.
