Great way to protect shelves from baked on glaze
My Ceramics Club was looking for alternatives to using stilts and these fit the bill. Be forewarned they are good for one use only. They work great firing to a cone 06 without sticking to the item, including the fired glaze.

Tested for flame retardant - PASSED.
Anyone who says this material is just wrong and has not tested this paper. The photo is of material expose to a propane torch long enough to become "red hot" which indicates a temperature of over 1500 F. Yes the material is brittle. It is NOT, however, flamable. I don't know why people post patently false reviews.

Paper that doesn't burn
My oldest daughter, who's 31, turned me on to this. This stuff is made of ceramic fiber: you can put an oxy-acetalyne torch to it, and it will simply disintegrate: it won't catch fire. For candles and candleholders, it is unexcelled.

Not for glass slumping
The original product description said it could be used in a kiln for slumping bottles. Do not buy it for that purpose. The texture of the paper left a gritty texture on the glass and the paper was stuck to the glass and fell apart. It is awful.

Excellent product
To think-you can extend the life of any furnace combustion chamber with this simple but effective product. Bravo-well done.

24" by 12" is BS.
24 by 12 is BS, it may total 24 by 12. Mine came in multiple pieces of varied sizes, and the larger pieces are torn with corners ripped off. Fortunately I am cutting off a strip for a stove door, even at that I need 14 inches when 12 inches is the longest dimensions I received, so I have to splice the ends. If you need full size sheet you my want to reconsider.

good product
exactly what I expected. Easy to work with

More fragile than expected. Not very flexible. Will crumble apart if folded or rolled tightly.
It’s way more fragile than I had expected. And it’s not very resilient to flexing. It will crumble apart if folded or rolled tightly. It definitely feels like a disposable solution. I placed a sheet in a ziplock bag so it had more flexibility. Using that in a flame retardant document bag for added protection. Although it reportedly won’t burn, I’m not sure if it’ll add any significant thermal protection. Gave it 3 stars since it came as 3 torn sheets, but probably works as intended… just not ideal for my desired purpose.
