Rolls HR78X Digital AM/FM Tuner with XLR Output, Black, 1.70 x 9.00 x 6.75

This is probably the best tuner unit I've used. I have a number of them in the field.It seems immune from high RF area. It's reliable. And it's easy to set up. I will greatly Miss them.

Not "HD Radio".....Not recommended!!!!Digital AM/FM is not HD (High Definition) Radio. WHY would any tuner manufacturing company make a non-HD radio in this day and age is beyond me. The sound of HD Radio (High Definition Digital Signal) is CD quality and far superior to any analog radio signal. When you have heard the difference you will know what I am talking about. Radio tuners with HD Radio will use analog receiving when the signal is weak. When the signals are strong enough the digital streaming will begin when enough digital data has been buffered. When the music or sound switches from analog to digital you will hear the difference.I was looking to replace my large 2 rack mount HD Radio tuner with this small half rack mount tuner. It would have worked beautifully side of my half rack mount Benchmark DAC 2. Our local Classical Music Station WNED in Buffalo sounds much better from HD Radio than it does from internet radio with high bit rate. I owned a very expensive analog FM tuner that I was never really happy with the sound. I bought a $200 HD Radio tuner when they cam out and it has always pleased me with its far superior sound.
