Gintama volume 8 contains chapters 59 to 67.It is rated T+ for Older teens due to "suggestive situations"Gintama is set in a world that has samurai, aliens, ninjas, monsters, pirates and anything you can think of really.Gintoki, Kagura, Shinpachi and Sadaharu make up the Yorozuya, a jack-of-all-trades group that help people with any type of problem (for a small fee)Volume 8 continues on from volume 7 where Kagura has left Yorozuya. Shinpachi is having none of it so he goes to bring her back. But a monster attacks the terminal where Kagura is! The Shinsengumi get involved too.We get to see a glimpse of Kagura's past too!Whilst Kagura is away, the women of the manga try to become the new female lead. Nobody can replace Kagura though!Matsudaira orders Kondo, Hijikata and Okita to kill his daughter's boyfriend but instead, they just plan on humiliating him so that she will dump him.Gintoki get's a new neighbour! Hedoro the florist!Elizabeth is captured! So Katsura asks Yorozuya to help rescue her! They aren't skilled enough to pull off a break-in so they ask for Sa-chan's help! She then trains them to become ninjas! (continues in the next volume)Another funny volume! You will notice that Hijikata isn't smoking on the cover. Sorachi-sensei explained that he wasn't allowed to draw him smoking on the cover. It still looks good though! If you are a huge Gintama fan like me, then this volume is a must have for your collection! (as are all the other volumes)

Well the book starts with a few chapters that wrap up Kagura's father's story line. This is done with a very entertaining reference to Kagura's love for raw seaweed (or whatever that smelly stuff is called) and is followed by a fun short story as various side characters battle it out to become the new heroine (though by the end they seem to just have enjoyed a session of beating Gin and Shinpachi to a pulp).After all this fun it gets even better with Mayo 13 striking out in the name of love, a monster (who loves all living things) that ends up being misunderstood as well as Ninja's who train by doing their best to steal porn. It's Gintama all right, and though unconventional at times, it is still one heck of a ride.
