I've been sampling ghee. Wow. They can be wildly different. This one is currently my very favorite. Love that it is organic, grass fed. To me - it smells exactly like freshly toasted and butter bread. It has a lovely, rich butter flavor. It's way too expensive. But so good. It's fun to experiment cooking with Ghee which is butter that has had the milk solids removed. You could make your own. Probably more economical. But I love this brand. Also, it's a glass jar! No plastic. I say it's worth a try if you're trying ghee! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I LOVED this Ghee - and I really have been turned off by store bought Ghee because I just have not liked the flavor of it. So I must be wanting the flavor of Iowa grasses! Their website says "All of our cows have access to pastures and naturally growing coastal grasses at least 10 months per year, more than 19 hours per day." And it definitely comes through with the flavor. Buying another again.

UPDATE: because you can’t send food back, I was not going to waste a whole jar of ghee. Once I got past The grittiness on top, it was more smooth and the flavor is the best I’ve ever tasted in any ghee. So, I will order this again, and hopefully the grittiness was just one bad batch.It was definitely brown, but instead of creamy it was gritty. The cost of this item was a little high, so I anticipated it being an above average product. I was disappointed. I will not buy it again.

Very good product very high quality

I love the flavor of Brown Butter and this brand of ghee delivers. Occasionally this company is out of stock on this product so now I keep one jar in advance of my subscription and so far that has worked out. I have tried another brand of brown butter ghee and could tell immediately, from the smell, that it was not of the same quality. I use this in my morning Bullet Proof Coffee, and anything else I can apply it, like English muffins, steak, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, etc., you get the idea.

This glass jar was packed with perfection . Great value for the money . Ghee or n the glass jar taste so much better than in the plastic container . Smells and taste great . Highly recommend for your everyday cooking .
