The girls are happy. Good fit, comfort and support.
What a nice surprise. Lately, the products I've ordered from Amazon (especially any type of clothing) have been more disappointments than joys. I was in search of something to use for a sports bra. After being involved in a very serious accident that has for a long time prevented the running and activity I used to do pre-accident. I've been wanting to try to get started with something again. But with my resultant disability, the over the head sports bras just aren't doable. While I wanted front close, I tried several and they have been weak performers, barely usable, really. So, I finally decided to give this one a chance and was pleased. The bra seems well constructed and has handled quite a few washings (in a lingerie bag and hung to dry) with no issues, no weird stretching, lumps that weren't there before or stitching coming out. It fit as expected from day one, provided the support I was looking for in order to start getting active again, and has been provided the "not have to think about it" comfort you are seeking from a workhorse type garment.Update after wearing for a while to run/walk: the bottom band of this bra does roll up some. I even ordered another one (first one was purchased for $17, second was $19.92 - more than a 15% price increase in a short period) thinking maybe *I* picked the wrong size, but nope, still does it. It doesn't really bother me or rub when I exercise (or mow, or other activities when I want to wear a more supportive bra), but when I put it on, it is a bit aggravating appearance wise. Of course, I am no VS Angel or SI swimsuit model candidate, so I won't be wearing the sports bra without a shirt while I jog or mow the yard or wander around the grocery store (scary thought!, so no you aren't getting any pictures), so it will be just fine. After logging quite a few miles it the first one purchased and wearing the second bra for a few runs, I stick by my pleasantly surprised review of a clothing item ordered here.

The most comfortable bra in the world (if you're willing to do a little sewing)!
Every other year I go through a couple of months where I am determined to find the perfect fitting bra. Amazon Prime is great, because I can "spend" hundreds of dollars and try on a bunch of different bras. Typically, I get tired of straps being too short, cups too pointy, wires too pokey, soft cups not supportive enough etc and give up. Not this year! This year I found the Playtex Outgoer bra. A little about me: I am a nursing mother who is currently weaning, so I wasn't interested in finding a nursing bra. I usually wear somewhere between a 34DDD/E or a 36DDD depending on brand. My chest is 33" around and my breasts are 40". I first bought a size medium and instantly fell in love. It was literally the most comfortable bra I have ever tried on in my entire life, and trust me, I've tried hundreds if not thousands of bras. I kept it and wore it a few times before I realized that the wires were not really fitting correctly, part of my breast was still outside the cup. I know that sounds silly, but seriously, the bra was so comfortable that I didn't realize it at first. I was bummed, and went back to buying a few more $70 bras before I had an idea. While Playtex is clearly sadistic in only having Small, Medium, and Large sizes, this bra was worth a little extra work. I bought a size Large bra and found that the cup size was perfect, but now the band was huge. I am a horrible seamstress and don't even own a sewing machine, but I folded over the band on each side of the bra and stitched it. Voila! Large cup size with a 34" band. It's not the perfect solution, but I'm telling you, this is truly an amazingly comfortable (and affordable) bra. I just wish that Playtex would size them like a normal bra and not just assume that larger breasts mean a larger frame. All that said, this is not what I would call a sports bra. I don't like any bounce, and while this is very supportive and comfortable for every day wear, it would not hold up to say jogging or horseback riding.

AWESOME BRA! Now please make it prettier!
Hey! Busty ladies, listen up. This bra is AH-MA-ZING! It’s got everything you want. Almost. Let’s start with the material. I’m a sensitive-skin girl who prefers cotton but this stuff is soft, stretchy without “give”, doesn’t irritate or cause rashes and doesn’t cause bulges in unflattering areas. The cups are lightly lined, so no headlights! (softly hums Wallflowers tune to self)The cups themselves are remarkable! A super-comfy marvel of modern engineering. They keep your girls separate. No cleavage! People may finally discover you have a face! With a mouth that speaks actual words! And here is the very best part: They. Won’t. Bounce. Or jiggle. Go ahead, jump around! Go jogging! They stay in place. And the band holds them up so you don’t get chafing or redness underneath. Now here’s a secret: This bra has the best “minimizing” effect I’ve ever seen. You’ll still have boobs, but there is a subtle, flattering “containment “ that allows them to stay elevated and still boob-shaped, like you were just naturally a half cup or cup smaller and still young enough to be immune to gravity. The straps are wide and comfortable and secure. I hate the way you adjust them but I am thankful it IS so adjustable! And only needs to be done once. The band is wide, doesn’t cause bulges and has three sturdy hooks. The bra holds up great after frequent washing and constant use, but it won’t last forever and isn’t meant to.Now, here is the bad part. This bra is BUTT-UGLY!!! The kindest way to describe it is “utilitarian”. I would have a drawer full of these and wear them every single day if you would make a few floral prints with maybe some lace trim. And some plaids with ribbon trim. Or go crazy and do animal prints with black lace! Hey, you’re selling to FEMALES! We’re your target demo! I realize we represent a wide cross-section of tastes, but do you realize the market you could have?Bottom Line: This bra is clearly popular for a good reason. Please feel free to “like” this post if you would like to get the attention of Playtex and see this bra in patters and trims that make you feel even more confident and fabulous than it already does!
