I’m not impressed with these tbh. I’m a size 16 and ordered the Amazon recommended size of XL. Whilst they fit my body okay the rear lined area feels like a saggy nappy and doesn’t fit close to my body. I certainly wouldn’t trust them during a period, perhaps they would provide extra security with a pad or tampon on heavier days but even on lighter days I would still wear other protection.I also felt that the fabric composition isn’t good for being next to my body as my crotch area felt damp and sweaty, which doesn’t happen with 100% cotton knickers. They also have a slight rustling sound due to the plastic inner layer which I dislike.All in all I think there are better period underwear out there that you don’t need other protection with and don’t give you a sweaty crotch resulting in discomfort and odour. I wouldn’t recommend them except as an extra protection overnight for example. I am going to see if I can return them as I only wore one pair and they don’t perform as advertised.

I like to use these as an extra form of protection when also wearing a reusable pad or a tampon. I have tried using them alone and they did leak after a couple of hours but would probably be fine for a lighter day.
