Great for carryon
I purchased this Rockland 22" duffel bag, and two others, with wheels because I have had a good experience with them. My previous 3 Rockland 22" duffel bags were purchased elsewhere in 2018. Those bags were checked 4 times and held up perfect each time. We typical travel with JetBlue and use them as our carryon with no issues but when they ask if anyone would like to check their bags for free due to limited space, we check ours..The wheels are pretty good and held up well. IF you are trying to run your bag may wobble a little and tip. Otherwise pulling them around has not been an issue. I have however noticed the wheels on this new bag are a little beefier then the older bags I owned. Which again worked great for me and my kids. After 2 cruises (flights to and from), 5 flights to and from the Dominican Republic, and several car trips around the states the inside material of the bag was starting to shed little pieces. I probably would have used them a few more times because the pieces were so tiny and it was just starting to happen but our last trip involved a stay that had cockroaches so I decided to toss all our luggage from that trip. Unfortunately, something that can happen in tropical climates.I am able to pack enough clothes, and extra pair of shoes and flip flops for a 7 day trip in the bag. I have larger suitcases but for how much it cost to check bags ($35.00), purchasing these again was a no brainer. I recently have been introduced to the use of vacuum seal bags when traveling. So I am sure I will be able to fit even more.CON: The only down side is when you are waiting in line most of us don't push the telescopic bar in and lay the bag down each time you move so the end of the bag with the wheels takes a bit of a beating and that is where the inside will start to fall apart.

I LOVE this bag!
This is a light-weight, inexpensive bag. Keep that in mind. For the price it is great. I read reviews about it not being able to stand up and other dislikes. It does not stand on its own, so I reinforced it with some card board, to create a firm internal frame. It also is too large for carry on. They made me check it as I approached the gate. Fortunately they didn't charge me. I packed quite a bit of things in it (keeping in mind, the cloth is not very thick) and I was mindful to not have anything poking through. I needed a cheap bag in a hurry. For under $20 it was a great deal. It was cuter than I expected. I can use it again. It didn't fall apart.

No front wheels
I didn’t realize when I bought this that it didn’t have 4 wheels. My mistake. It does not have front wheels so I can’t stand it upright alone or push it upright. It is a nice roomy bag and I like it for that. Zippers are sturdy. It is easy to pull. I lean it against something to stand it up but find that to be inconvenient most of the time. It is built well, and is light weight before filled .

Very nice duffle!
I purchased this duffle for a trip to a national park. We were flying to our destination and then tent camping in multiple campgrounds. This duffle worked well for the flight because of the handle and wheels. I did not have any issues with the duffle tipping over while pulling it. I was worried that I might be asked to gate check it, but that didn't happen. It fit into the overhead compartments just fine. For the camping, the duffle worked great! I could stow it in the mini van we rented and easily have access to all my clothes through the wide top opening of the duffle. It made it easy to stay organized. It was a 10 day trip. The duffle fit all of the stuff I needed to take, including hiking boots, camp shoes, rain gear, etc. I used a daypack as my personal item. On the return trip home, there was still room in the duffle for the souvenirs I bought. I did notice one small scrape on the bag that must have happened while I was using it. It is a canvas-type bag, so it can suffer some rips as opposed to a hard sided suitcase. But for my purposes, and for the very reasonable price, I think this bag will hold up fine on plenty more trips.

Pass on this one
I ordered this bag specifically to be used for a cruise that we were going on. We had to fly from our home city to the East Coast and then take the ship back to our home so, this bag has only made one flight and was unpacked upon arrival onto the ship then repacked to disembark the ship and drive home forty five minutes away.First, upon receipt of this bag, I was really surprised at the size of this thing, it’s much larger than I had anticipated. I packed it for the cruise and the flight. The initial problem is that in order to pack this thing so that it stays within the weight limits required by the airlines, there is quite a bit of empty space left in the bag. With the cinch straps pulled tight to reduce the space problem, a new problem has emerged, the bag is now unstable and will not stand up on its own, it’s a bit floppy. If you try to lean the bag against something to have it stand on its own, the nice wheels on the bottom cause it to immediately fall over. Also because this bag is so big and has to fall into the weight category, I had to pack a second carry on size bag for the rest of my clothing which means I didn’t need this huge bag if I was gonna have to pack a second bag anyway.Next problem I ran into was checking into the airport, the bag was within the weight requirements however, the size of the bag became a problem. The airline was going to charge me extra because the bag exceeded the size limit by quite a bit, they were nice enough to accept it as is after explaining the situation.Getting this bag onto the ship was no trouble at all and it actually fit nicely under the bed for storage. At the end of the cruise, it’s size did come in handy in order to pack the items we had purchased in the different ports during the cruise. It did still have the stability problem of not standing on its own. The night before departure, all bags are placed outside the room so they can be gathered and moved for pick up at customs, I had to sandwich the bag between the bulkhead and another suitcase to keep it from blocking the hallway. The ride home obviously went without a hitch due to it being our own transportation.Overall, the bag is really much larger than thought which is not the fault of the bag but instead it’s my fault for not paying closer attention to the dimensions. The quality of the bag is a different story. I travel extensively with my work and have always used the rolling duffle type bags but never this size. I always get a lot of mileage out of my rolling duffles but they hold up to the abuse that the airlines provide on a regular basis. The bag I was going to retire after purchasing this new extremely large rolling duffle has served me well for four years, COVID slowed my travel quite a bit but, now that we are over COVID, travel has picked up again. The only issue I have with my four year old bag is that the pull tabs for the zippers have broken off, the bag itself shows some wear but not enough to make me totally retire it.This new Rockland roller duffle bag was to become my go to primary bag but, the biggest issue I have with this bag is the quality. After one flight with the airlines, it now has a couple holes in it and one of the seams appears to be coming loose. This bag needs to be made of a more durable material or canvas to make it worth the price paid. If this bag would last through multiple round trip flights then I would give it a better review but seeing as it barely survived a single one way flight, I can’t take the chance of it being a total failure somewhere between my home and Alaska. If it is being used for road trips only, it’ll probably last much longer but in my case, it’s all airlines, no driving.I’m disappointed with the performance, or lack of, of this bag and will be donating it, maybe someone else can use it for at least one more flight and may get lucky enough to get a round trip out of it before it disintegrates.

Spot for everything
This bag is very spacious. Front pockets hold the little things. Perfect for jewellery or phone chargers. Inside is nice and deep. Love the wheels and the handle to pull with. Shoulder strap is when the bag is less heavy.
