the Apeckx ii combines a supple bonded and welded mesh upper with an impressively stiff dupont Zytel sole. The welded and bonded upper results in fewer seams for reduced hot spots and improved comfort. Fit is adjustable via the classic combination of a micro-ratcheting, low-profle N-1 buckle and two straps. A supportive, anti-microbial EVA footbed optimizes comfort while reducing odor. Plus, the Apeckx II is built on the same last as our highest-performance shoes, so you get the same amazing ft that has made Giro the fastest-growing brand of cycling shoes.

Great fit
I had a pair of other shoes I've been riding with. But my feet have been hurting worse over time. I heard Giro had a wider shoe, so I looked into it and found this one. Wow, what a difference. I have been using these daily for several hundred miles now and they feel great. They look awesome as well. You really can't go wrong with these.

Buying a bigger size
These shoes are Amazing, besides that looks awesome are a perfect pair to ride a bike in you spinning class as well on the road. 100% recommended. Probably I suggest buying a bigger size than yours because it feels too tight, and remember the bicycle socks are thicker than regular ones.

Not for Wide Feet
If you have wide feet like me, this might not be for you. I'm a size 13.5 and I ordered the size 48 and it fits fine as far as length is concerned. The width though is a different story. I will still use them and get my money's worth. If you have wide feet, go to a store and try them on before you buy them.

First attempt at road shoes...
Have used Giro 2-screw cleats (mountain bike) style for a couple of years, for the convenience. But up-graded to the 3 screw road style and it's working out perfectly. Shoe fits like my older (45 = size 10.5 US) Giro. Great cleat!

Great shoes.
Spectacular shoes! The first pair I ordered I bought in the wrong size. After a return/repurchase, I got my sizing correct. I saved a ton of money and I love the way these feel. Unfortunately, I haven't "road" tested them as I've been riding on the trainer indoors. Looking forward to getting them out on the street. I specifically chose this color scheme as I ride to support the American Diabetes Assn and their colors are red and black. Based on correct fit and feel, I would definitely buy these again regardless of color scheme.

2nd order was a half size larger but was a worse fit than the 1st pair "smaller in size"
Don't understand why these shoes are so tight in the toe area, I have bought 2 similar styles, same brand same size and they fit well with a little room for those winter socks you would need later in the winter months, 2nd time now I have had to send these type back, 2nd order was a half size larger but was a worse fit than the 1st pair "smaller in size"???? will return and not bother ordering another pair due to this... if you do buy these buy a size above, really nice road shoes though.

good fit and quality
I use these for spin, not actual biking, so consider this a review from a casual user. I've had them for 6 months, and they have held up to 3-4 classes per week. They look like they have virtually no wear on them thus far. I have wide feet and I think they fit well (I ordered my normal size, not a size up).

Be careful with your sizing!
I bought the shoes for use on my Peloton spin bike. The Peloton branded shoes are unnecessarily expensive for what they are at $125, so I sought these out. I did, however, try on the Peloton shoes at their store first. I typically wear US 8.5 in shoes. The Peloton branded shoes fit perfectly in size 41 and were huge in the 42, so I ordered the Giro Apeckx II in size 41. This was a bad call, after returning the 41's, then ordering and returning 41.5's, I am in size 42. The bottom line is that these run a little on the small side and the Peloton shoes run on the big side of things. Boy, do I hate buying shoes online!
