Taste is phenomenal
Superb product in every way! I bake lemon cheesecake & poke holes when done to drizzle boysenberry syrup. YUMMY. I drizzle over greek yogurt w/ fresh frozen blueberries too. Have purchased their blueberry as well. These syrups are outstanding! Love this brand!!

A bit thin but really good taste
My family and I really miss the taste of Smuckers Boysenberry syrup and we have tried a few others but we didn't like the taste of them. I read the reviews of this one and it's a close second to the Smuckers Boysenberry syrup. We really like the taste of this one. My grown son who doesn't care of any syrup except Maple, really really liked this one. We have bought 4 bottles in the last month and a half. It really tastes good. This is making me hungry for pancakes and this syrup!

Boisenberry is the best!
Great product, it's the only pancake syrup my husband likes, just wish it weren't so expensive!! The price has gone up quite a bit in the past few years. ( Probably due to factors beyond your control :( )

Good price, is not just boysenberry however
Be aware this is not just boysenberry there are multiple multiple fruits mixed into this mixture. I would say it is more like a blended boysenberry syrup. Have not tried it yet but hopefully we'll be okay. Locally it's been almost impossible to find any kind of fruit syrups in grocery stores that aren't just all corn syrup. Just has a icky aftertaste. All of the local syrups that are actually fruit based are really super expensive so this was a reasonably priced alternative. Hoping the flavors okay and nice that it came in a reusable glass bottle. Once done can fill with olive oil and herbs

Disappointing flavor.
In short, no, I cannot recommend. To explain; I blame IHOP for my desire for boysenberry syrup. They started me on this as a child and have since left me without a suitable substitute. For years I have used "Smuckers" brand and as that too became scarce, I would purchase a box or case at a time having it shipped to my home. Now, "Smuckers" has also left me as they apparently no longer produce this delight. I tried this, "Maple Grove" brand ordering online and having it shipped, paying four times more than what a bottle of syrup normally costs. Perhaps the bar was too high. I am sadly disappointed in the flavor of this. We had a family gathering to premier its first opening at our home. We had both pancakes and waffles at there ready. My son was the first to try, and knowing how much I wanted this to work simply said, "I'll let you try and see what you think". My wife was not interested. Then, with great hope and confidence, I applied a portion to my waffle. The initial touch of the tongue and the dream began to unravel. Something was off, just not right. I looked again at the bottle and yes it says boysenberry. I continued, still hopeful, but it just wasn't going to work for me. When pressed by the family what I tasted, the best description I could offer was, burnt hairspray. Not overpowering you understand, but enough to not want anymore. Best of luck to anyone else searching for the wonderful taste of boysenberry syrup. Please let me know when the treasure is found.
