It’s a perfect resource for anyone ready to improve their emotional well-being and foster more secure relationships. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to break free from old patterns and build a stronger, healthier connection with themselves and others! Review: Eye-opening and informative - This recovery workbook reads like a college textbook, but the information it contains is so important. It is straight-forward and put together professionally well. References are noted, so you can do more research on your own time if you feel the need. It gives clear definitions of the four attachment styles as well as their adaptive responses. You will also find grounding exercises, as well as other interactive exercises. For example, there is a Family Attachment Map for Generational Insights (a mundane, yet meaningful and accurate title). This exercise will help you reach a better understanding of the attachment styles exhibited by members of your family. Things like this are very important. I grew up with an anxious-attachment mother and an avoidant-attachment father. But I didn't learn this until I was well into my 30's. After they divorced, my mother raised me. If I had known the things in this book when I was a teenager, my life may have been different. I suppose it's a side effect of the subject matter to be dry. It's to be expected. That's why I still decided to give this book 5 stars. It's not supposed to be flashy and entertaining. It's supposed to be informative and thought provoking. Which it is. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Life-Changing Insights for Anyone Struggling with Relationships
This workbook completely transformed the way I see myself and my relationships. I've always felt stuck in certain patterns—whether it's pulling away when things get too intense or clinging too tightly when I feel insecure. This book finally gave me the "aha" moments I desperately needed. The exercises are simple yet so effective. It’s not just fluff or theory; you’re really doing the work here. I loved how it broke down each attachment style with so much clarity—like, “Oh, THAT’S why I do this!” The self-assessment tools were eye-opening, and the emotional regulation strategies are already making a difference for me. I also appreciated the supportive tone of the writing. It feels like a friend guiding you through tough stuff, not a lecture. The pacing was perfect too—enough depth to keep me engaged without feeling overwhelmed. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of anxiety, avoidance, or self-sabotage in your relationships, you NEED this book. It’s like a roadmap to understanding yourself better and finally feeling secure, not just with others, but with yourself. Honestly, I wish I’d found it years ago!

Great job helping to focus on Emotional Mastery.
I have seen many workbooks as a Psychologist. Many of the workbooks i have seen have been a small quantity of a waste of time. However, this workbook is a practical guide to better understanding different healing attachment styles, providing a good reflection process to improve one's emotional well-being. The basic theory is attachment theory, which does a great job of addressing the behaviors of the three primary behaviors: anxiety, avoidant, and disorganized. The book has an easy-to-understand structure, has clear explanations, and helps the reader or workbook users understand and learn how to identify the patterns that manifest in different troubling relationships. I do appreciate the number of exercises that guide the readers through a series of self-reflection and practical steps to help the individual build a secure attachment. As an author of a book on emotional mastery, the author did a great job helping the reader focus on emotional regulation.

Offers Good Practical Advice
My key takeaway is that I need to be more intentional with my relationships. The book offers practical advice and some of them were really good. The only downside for me was that I was looking for that Eureka moment or a life changing chapter but sadly it didn’t come. However, that was just me. I am sure that this book can help most of the readers. I still recommend this to all my fellow silent sufferers.

Helped me believe change is possible
This book really helped me see where some of my habits come from and why I react the way I do. It walks you through how to actually change the patterns that keep showing up over and over. The exercises made me stop and think about things I had not connected before. I appreciated that it focused on both understanding yourself and learning how to build healthier relationships moving forward. It has been eye-opening and surprisingly comforting to realize that change is possible, even after years of repeating the same old cycles.

stopped feeling like 'too much’
For so long I’d get overwhelmed, then shut down or cling. I really thought something was just wrong with me... This workbook helped me connect the dots between my reactions and deeper patterns I had. Now I’m learning to respond, not just react, and it's a long process... The exercises are simple and make a big difference. Highly recommend if you’ve felt stuck.

A very informative workbook
A very informative workbook. I am just beginning my journey with attachment theory and this is definitely an eye opening book. There is a tonne of information here and it is very helpful that all attachment styles are analysed and explained in one place. This workbook comes in handy when you are trying to understand your family dynamics and connections. The family exercise was particularly helpful with this. In addition, I do like the caveat that attaching labels to your personality can have a downside and hence it should be more seen as a guideline to the way you form relationships rather than a fixed template, that is set in stone. This is a different approach to one I have seen so far. I would definitely recommend this!
