These aquarium vines actually look quite nice in the tank—certainly have a very natural, jungle-like feel, and are pliable enough so you can put them wherever you prefer. My fish liked having the extra cover, and they integrated well with my other ornaments.All that being said, they leeched a tremendous amount of tannins. Even pre-soaked and pre-rinsed, the water was tea-brown within a day or two. I was expecting some discoloration, but this was well beyond I could stand without water changes and extra carbon in the filter.If you're doing a blackwater setup, this might actually be okay. But with clear water aquascaping, these vines are more trouble than they're worth. I'll probably be taking them out soon unless the tannin release really does slow down.

When I opened the package, it was wet and all was covered in mold.
