Not what I was expecting.
I was expecting a seasoning blend from tony chacheres just without the salt. Well this has no salt, but they replaced the salt with brown sugar. I don't know about you but I certainly did not want a spice blend to have sugar as the main ingredient, this makes things that should be amazing taste terrible - no reason to use sugar. I guess I will just stick to making my own spice blends in the future; I thought this could save me some effort. Overall I would not recommend this if you are wanting cacheres but no salt, you would do better just looking at the ingredients list and mixing your own blend with no salt and no sugar.

Disappointed in the seasoning blend
The first ingredient is brown sugar, which limits what you can use the seasoning blend on. All you will taste is the sugar which overpowers the flavor of the seasoning. Used it on chicken and was highly disappointed. The no salt seasoning in the white container was much better and you were able to use it on anything.

"Slow" heat, great flavor ...
I'm always experimenting with flavors and flavor combinations, so when Tony Chachere's seasoning was recommended as the best of its type, I wanted to give it a try. I've had some recent health situations that force me to limit my salt intake, so definitely wanted to go for the no-salt version.I'm very happy with this. Yes, it contains brown sugar, but I don't find it overpowering the rest of the ingredients. It has what I call "slow heat": the first things you taste are the flavors of the spices, and then a second or so later, the "heat" comes on and lingers. Not too spicy for my taste (but then my favorite Indian dishes include vindaloo).I'm single cooking only for myself, so I've been using it to assemble a quick-to-prepare 1-serving combination of rice, black beans, andouille sausage, and about 1/2 tsp of this seasoning. Presently, my only cooking source is a microwave plus whatever small appliances I can plug into the wall (no real kitchen), so I grill one link of andouille in my countertop grill, reheat rice in the microwave, toss in about 1/3 C of cooked black beans, dice the sausage and add it to the rice & beans, then add and toss with the Seasoning Blend, back into the microwave for a final 30-second nuke, and it's done. SUPER yummy, super fast, the perfect amount for 1 person.I plan to use it in a rub for country-style ribs (I have a small crockpot) and probably in my breakfast omelets for a change of pace.Definitely will be purchasing this again.

The no salt version is different than the salt free version
I wanted the salt free version, with the white label , received the no salt version with the purple label, there is a difference

Favorite Chicken Seasoning
We switched to salt free seasoning and we used the original version for our chicken. We have always preferred this seasoning for our chicken, but not so much everything else. We were very happy that this was an easy switch and did not take long for us to adapt and enjoy the salt free version. We will continue to keep this in our spice rack. We purchased the lite version as well, but never had to use it thankfully. Almost knocked off a star for them covering the nutrition facts with a large expiration sticker.

Read the ingredients list
I wanted regular creole with no salt. This is labeled to show it’s like that but it is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT seasoning. If you look on the ingredients list it’s is NOT regular creole with no salt. So be sure to look up the ingredients before you buy. Also, it taste gross. Taste like you ate a handful of sugar then your mouth starts burning with some wicked heat.

So disappointed see photo of how product arrived
I can't really comment on the product with the exception of the smell. As you can see in the photo the product was shipped in an envelope and the container crushed. I've left feedback for Amazon but they are not responding or giving any option for replacement, so I'm hoping they will pay attention to this one . I was really looking forward to getting this spice mix and as I said it smells great although the cloud of spice that wafted out of the envelope when opened had me coughing for quite awhile.

Brown Sugar and a dash of spice. NOT spicy in the least bit! Just sweet and odd.
I was expecting the normal seasoning, minus the salt. What this is instead is essentially the salt replaced with Brown Sugar. That’s right! Instead of a hot creole spice blend, you get brown sugar plus a tiny bit of spices. This utterly ruined my first dinner I sprinkled it on. Couldn’t figure out why it was sweet until I read the label. Brown Sugar is the first ingredient.
