Herschel Men's Charlie Leather + Tile

I bought this wallet at $7.99 (Herschel Supply Co. Men's Charlie Card Holder- Tan Pebble Leather. It has since increased to $17.76) and at the same time purchased the Saddleback Leather Front Pocket ID Wallet Saddleback Leather Front Pocket ID Wallet - Best Selling 100% Full Grain Small Leather Wallet with 100 Year Warranty which was $49 at the time.If you can't tell I kept this wallet. My initial configuration includes 2 cards (drivers license and credit card) on the single pocket side; 2 cards in each slot on the double pocket side (all are credit cards); and 3 cards and a small piece of paper in the middle (1 credit card, 1 zoo membership card, 1 health insurance card [slightly slimmer than a credit card] and a memento from my family that i would say replicates the size of 2 bills of currency folded up).The Saddleback wallet was able to hold 1 additional card and allowed my driver's license to be in plain view (not to my liking by the way). While the additional space was definitely nice, the difference in price ($41) was not worth it. Even at the current price of this writing of $17.76, the Herschel wallet is just so much better of a buy. Looking at the other colors available for the Herschel wallet at $30, I still do not think the difference of 1 card is worth it. The Saddleback wallet was also more rough around the edges than the Herschel Wallet which had a smoother aesthetic.Now, I must add the caveat that this review is approximately 2 days after I received and used the wallet. This means the leather on both did not have time to get acclimated to wear and use, which would allow me to see the full capacity of each.It is worth pointing out, however obvious, that this is a minimalist wallet. You'll have to make some choices as to which cards you will be carrying around. At this point I'm carrying 9 cards, and I expect that I will be able to add 2-3 more cards as the leather starts to loosen. The fit is also very snug, so if you know you need to pay for something, start trying to get your card out early as it is VERY snug initially. Again this is what you are signing up for with a minimalist wallet anyways.Again- at the price point of this wallet, i'm quite happy and the quality is excellent. I have now switched carrying my wallet from my back pocket to my front, which is making sitting down much more comfortable. Additionally, since I rarely carry cash, the wallet is really perfectly made for me as I only have the bare minimum of items that I need.

Love the wallet but this was false advertising! The add states "with Tile" never received my Tile so wasn't too happy about that

The black leather Charlie is a perfect minimalist wallet. Enough for a drivers license 2 credit cards 3 business cards and some cash. Has a very sleek professional look. The pinstriped details in the lining of each card slot and center pocket really polish this wallet. This is a must buy!

I am really impressed with this wallet. great quality and the price is pretty good as well. You will have to cut the tags in the middle pocket carefully so you can slide bills in an out easily. I have 5 cards and about 7 bills in there and everything fits fine and manages to keep its thin profile. Do keep in mind though in the beginning the wallet will be a bit tight but it does stretch a bit as you start using it. Big thumbs up.

I am disappointed with this wallet. I was expecting the color of the leather to be light brown like the photos. Both customers “R. Borgeous” and “bbb” even posted photos in their review showing that it was a light tan color. The one that was sent to me is a dark brown. I’m going on vacation and I wanted to bring this wallet so I wouldn’t have to carry a bigger one. I don’t have time for Amazon to send me another one. For anyone looking to purchase this, please be advised that the color (at least for the tan) may be a different shade than what is shown in the photo.

I ended up returning it -- it looked great but it was taller than my old Alpine Swiss minimal wallet that had four slots. Despite the wallet being taller than my old one it was the compartments for the cards that ultimately led me to get rid of it...the three compartments aren't really compartments at all -- the slots for your cards are separated by a strip of leather -- meh. Overpriced.

Really nice full grain leather, and in Blue!! The first one I ordered had a split seam, I let Amazon know, and they overnight-ed me a replacement before I even had a chance to return the defective on. AWESOME customer service. The full grain leather gets a nice patina to it. Hold cash/checks in the hidden pocket. I have 2 id's and 5 cards with no problem. Sleek and easy to carry. I do recommend it to other.

This is a great compact wallet that fits the essentials.First Impressions: The tan leather was lighter than I expected but this will darken over time like all leather. It felt very well constructed, there was no visible thread seems or anything that might fray. The card slots were nice and snug and would hold your cards securely. The pin-striped cash slot is a tad small if you have a bunch of bills but can still manage to fit them in with some force.It is slimmer than my old J.Crewe magic wallet, which I didn't think was possible.Build Quality: The Leather is very durable so far and has no visible wear or tear even after a week of use. The card slots expanded nicely through basic use and now my cards slide in and out very easily while still being held securely.I wish that both sides had two card slots, I had to cut back on some cards for now while the card slots loosen up.
