This product out performed my estimation. I make simple breakfast smoothies. Banana, 1/4 c rolled oats, 1c organic plain yogurt, 1/4c sweet potato or carrots and turning fruit/ berries. Instead of whipped cream on top i mix 1/5 tsp (1500mg) in the top of the smoothie. The Avena Sativa is sweet with a creamy vanilla type flavor. I have mixed it in herbal tea, water and regular organic milk. Will be buying this product again.

I bought this for my DIY products to replace the oat flour I was using. The oat flour made my products clumpy when applied and the bigger oat grains would get stuck on my skin and clog my pores. This is much finer than oat flour and has all the active ingredients of oat flour without all the gunk. I love this stuff! Will purchase again

Have bought this product in capsule form from various supplement retailers and Bulk Supplements bulk, powdwer form is far more superior and economical. Its vesatility of consumtion surpassess all capsule and tea vesions - mixes well in beverages, shakes and smoothies. Would highly recommend!

The texture, taste and colour seem to show product is as listed. It is good for giving tea bit more thickness or substance, (its glycerin like in texture when mixed with water) not too dissimilar to genmaicha with it's rice pieces. There was a sort of bready taste which I guess would be consistent with oat.Testing any brain affect would be too ambitious endeavor for this as with no standardized active ingredient, likely there is little of it.However, for augmenting a green tea and maybe with itching it can be useful. Also its supposed to have minerals including manganese and zinc so this could offer various support. Again though any such are not disclosed as far as quantity here.If you after health benefits of such minerals just consume buckwheat (look it up) which will have protein and fiber as well.My small white fluffy dog was itching a lot and I added this to his coconut oil treatment. Leaves were sticking to him on our walk and he became light brown but he wasn't as itchy. Skin is dry and the benefit though could have just been the oil. Still to hedge our bets for treatment that you'd wash off later that day I'd add some yet again. Who knows...

I first bought this extract in 2019 and loved it. It had a rich oat flavor that was slightly bitter. I ordered it twice more recently and was disappointed as it seems they've changed their process making it. Of the two new batches one was a light khaki vs the other which was a dark brown. Yes they say 'colors may vary' but the flavor is also a lot different. Doesn't taste like oats at all, more like sawdust--it could be anything. More important is the powder feels less effective. Sucks because I can't find another company that makes a powdered oat straw extract. I really hope they go back to their old process. I've bought dozens of products from Bulk Supplements over the years and was let down big time on this one.
