Great for a 13 year old

To be clear, this is a Chinese knock-off of the Lego Technic brand. That said, it's well-executed, with good instructions and high-quality parts. I'd feel bad about them making a fake Lego kit, but Lego deserves what they get for charging such insane prices for pieces of molded plastic for a kids' toy.The car is really cool, and it's surprisingly big. A little over a foot long and with plenty of moving parts. For example, you move the steering wheel and the front wheels move in unison, thanks to a rack and pinion gear just like in a real car.This is a great set for an older child who is interested in cars and mechanics. It's not trivial to put together, but any mechanically-minded child who has dealt with reasonably complex lego kits should do just fine. And when they're done, they'll have a really cool toy racecar, in addition to a better understanding of gears and mechanical principles.

This is a fun kit to put together. I got it for my 11 year son and as he is pretty good with legos and such, this one was a bit over his head and he needed a bit of help. Once together it's a fun kit to look at and display. Very well made, good instructions and hard enough to do where it's fun to have and work on.

This set turned out great. It’s at a mid price point for any of these building blocks and had a good amount of pieces. The pieces weee nice and fit well. Instructions were occasionally hard to follow but not terrible. Turned out great and is useable as a fun race car or a display piece.

This kit was missing numerous key parts. The front wing could not be completed..

Wasnt sure what to expect as a lower priced block kit (Lego alternative) but was very happy with it. Pieces fit together great and there was nothing missing. Instructions could be a bit better as it was sometimes hard to distinguish between the need to use a different color piece in the instructions, but taking your time will get it right. Also has the option to add a motor/remote control but that is not necessary to have a very cool looking model when it is done.

When you get to the end of the build, the rest of the manual describes how to install the remote-control motor to the model, which apparently comes separate. However, the vendor doesn't seem to have the motor upgrade listed in their Amazon store.The steering wheel isn't connected to the steering mechanism, so without the upgrade, you have to turn the front tires manually. It would be nice if there was a gear that connected the steering wheel to the front wheels.A minor note, the stickers have some goofy spellings (probably for copywrite reasons); many have "Coanizant" whereas the tail sticker has the original "Cognizant" spelling.Otherwise, a fun build, well put together, and feels pretty solid.

This building block kit is a lot of fun and the car looks great when its finished. The pieces are high quality and fit together nicely and the instructions were easy to follow. Its not quite the quality of a Lego set but its way cheaper than Lego and its almost as good.
