Over 35 years since they first formed, this 2DVD set celebrates Depeche Mode's incredible music and lives to date. Disc 1 contains a 90 minute film charting the full career of the Mode, whilst disc 2 features rarely seen filmed interviews with the band recorded at various phases during their existence, which all together makes for the finest document on this extraordinary collective yet to emerge.

Great, but we already had one of the videos, but couldn't tell since it had anew cover.

ok video, not endorsed by the band
Basically it a documentary about peers of Depeche Mode and (some small interviews clips with Martin and an old band member) talking about Depeche Mode. It is informative and the people they are talking to are somewhat peers of theirs from the electronic music movement Britain and throughout the world. If you are a serious fan of Depeche Mode and you have to buy it go ahead but don't expect much from it. If you are just an avid to infrequent fan I would probably pass on this item.

Very Disappointing!
Let's get the most important thing out of the way. The band had nothing to do with this release. I've only watched a portion of the Interview's disk and I'm not sure I'll finish it. It is collected TV interviews with members of the band, the quality isn't great, in the first interview which was done for MTV you cannot even hear the questions that are being asked. Martin looks bored to tears through most of it. And this disk continues for close to 2 hours. The other disk is an unofficial history, I may give it a look. But this is a very disappointing release. Leave it alone.

So-so
There was some interesting information but overall kind of disappointed. Great interviews, no original music. Good to view once maybe twice.

The sound and picture quality are of course are OK on some and terrible on others
This double disc "collector's box" was incredibly....INCREDIBLY disappointing. The first disc was a documentary I'd seen on tele ages ago, NOT authorized I believe by the band themselves. Actually, the whole "box set" itself wasn't authorized. The second disc was snippets of random interviews (in no particular order) that all blended altogether. It was as if someone tapped them via VHS and used an editing program to piece it all into one. The sound and picture quality are of course OK on some and terrible on others.I did get this as a gift, so I'm not TOO upset, however I could have just searched interviews on Youtube.

Nothing Special
As a big mode fan was interested to get this , just after seeing them play on the Delta Machines tour. Very Very Very disapointed. The DVD is NOT authorised by Depeche Mode, it has nothing new that I can see, old stuff seen before , OMD talking about their time with them during Music for the masses etc . Be warned!

Not bad
Though not official one of the dvds has recognised talking heads who know what they are talking about

Dont waste your money
I didnt read the small print before I bought this so didnt realise that one of the discs was The Dark Progression whish is something I already have. Nevermind I thought. Ive still got the interview disc. Utter rubbish. Bad quality interviews that are not at all interesting or insightful. Dont buy this, just buy The Dark Progression on its own

Worth a look
Not a bad documentary and worth owning if you're a big DM fan. However please be aware that Disc 1 is called 'The Dark Progression' which is available to buy on its own. So if like me you already own it, then avoid buying this 2 disc film.
