Great product couldn’t be happier
When I first purchased this I was totally impressed for the price and durability super reliable I have since boughten at least 15 of these for birthday and Christmas presents and will have to order another one for myself soon as mine got stolen out of my truck a couple days ago after having it for over a year and using it at least 4 times a week

Fantastic little light.
The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is battery life. They run through those C's real quick. We bought rechargeable batteries, so it doesn't hurt when the light goes dead every 7 days

Spotlight for Boating
I just received my Streamlight Dualie Waypoint. Mine is the 4 C battery, 1000 lumens version. Because this is a first look review, I can't speak about durability or battery use.But what I can say is this light is BRIGHT. My test was to wait until after dark, walk out my driveway, and shine it on my house. I lit up the front bathroom. Okay ... next test, irritate some neighbors. I spotlighted the stop sign at the end of my street. I just Google-mapped my street, and the stop sign is 396 feet away (that's about 120 meters for those of you lucky enough to live where measurement is sane). That stop sign GLOWED.The light is definitely a "spot" light, meaning the focus was down the street, not every house along the way. But it was a pleasing cone of light - and I think for my purposes, operating a small boat at night on Lake Erie and its tributaries and harbors, this light is going to be perfect. Enough of a spread of light to make sense of a scene, but enough concentration for keeping the spot bright. The flood light, which is a separate LED mounted on the bottom of the light (bottom when you hold the light by the handle, on top), is a very floody floodlight. Big spread, nice and white, and this is the light you'll use getting on or off the boat, looking for a fishing lure that was dropped, or etc. It would be perfect walking out the dock to the boat - enough of a spread of light to light up your next steps and edges of docks and etc.I have about six Streamlights over the years, and I'm happy with all of them. I anticipate if I get around to reviewing this one after some experience in the field, I'm going to still be happy.

Awesome Light!
I’m retired from law enforcement. You either had a good maglite or an incredible Streamlight. This light is no exception to Streamlight’s reputation for brightness and focused beam. The footlight on this model is nice enabling you to see the path ahead better. I also like the fold out stand for hands free work. We took this to the “Modoc Lava Bed Caves” in northern California with a group and they all want one after seeing/using it. We accidentally dropped it on jagged cave floor a few times and it handles it fine. If you’re looking for a bright light like this then look no more. Kudos to Steamlight on this model.

Great light, mildly odd operational behavior
I was shopping for a replacement for the semi-ubiquitous 6V battery powered incandescent light that I carried in my pickup and chose this one. Just got the light yesterday, and took it outside once it got dark for a test run. First off - it puts out PLENTY of light for what I need - both in spot and flood modes. I can't speak to durability, but it looks well-constructed and Streamlight has a pretty good reputation (the utility where I worked provided other Streamlight products to our linemen, and while not the same as this one, those lights took the proverbial beatin' and kept on tickin'.) Also cannot speak to battery life at this point, but that's not a major concern for the way I'll be using the light. One minor detail/aggravation, and why I gave it four stars instead of five - the switch that selects between spot, flood (and both) light modes seems to be reversed - Flood light on in "S" mode and vice-versa.I've encountered far worse product "conundrums" - all in all, I think this light will do fine for what I need it to do. I'll keep it.

It’s a streamlight
Great light. Love the dual option for a walking light and beam light. It’s my go too light in my truck and around my farm. Just buy it.

Best flashlight I’ve ever owned.
This is the second one that I’ve purchased. (Gave my 1sr one to my daughter and it’s still like new). I hate rechargeable flashlights because they always fail when I need them most. The batteries seem to last forever and the brightness is more than adequate. I live in the middle of 25 acres and this light gives me security.

This is not the AA battery version
Amazon needs to correct the description. This is the X4 "C" size battery. This light does NOT use AA batteries...period. I almost did not purchase due to the confusion. I am pleased I did. For a versatile non chargeable battery spot/flood/area light this is the best so far. I have used streamlight products from way back in 1984. Simple power source: Just replace the batteries. If you need to use the high power for several hours a day you may want the rechargeable model.

Awesome light! Love the versatility and brightness.
The brightness is terrific! Three different light levels with three different lighting options make this a great light especially outdoors. Will worth the money.
