As a guy that lives, sleeps and breathes IH (at the risk of gushing), this is the best book I have ever read on IH, Farmall and Case IH tractors.Superlative: photography and photos, layout, writing, coverage of equipment both here in the US and abroad, thick, quality, coated paper, lots of great information and behind-the-scenes stories, drama and expert interviews. A HEAVY tomb.If you want detailed tractor specifications, detailed analysis of the changes in features and technology from year-to-year and an explanation of how all the systems "work", seek out Technician Manuals as you will be disappointed.I found the behind-the-scenes development stories and the amalgamation of Case and IH great reading and wished there was much, much more to better understand the dynamics of the merger."Red Tractors" will make your IH guy or gal VERY Happy.

I saw an article written in one of the Wisconsin farm papers that my dad receives about this book and the author the week before my dad's birthday and as soon as I read the article I went on and bought the book as a gift for my dad for his birthday. We have always had "red tractors" growing up and my dad still has red tractors. The book itself is pretty heavy and it is very well written. The photos are excellent. My dad really liked it and thought that some of his brothers would like to see it too. The only thing we wished there were more photos of were the older tractors before the 50's. Other than that, it is a very comprehensive look at the expansion of the red tractors through the years. I'm happy with my purchase!

As an International Harvester and Case IH Technician and instructor for over 30 years this book has some great history of the tractor and company.It was very interesting to read and look through as it has great pictures and stories of what went on behind the scenes of the design and manufacturing of the tractors.This is a great book for anyone that would appreciate the history behind one of the greatest tractor brands going today.Love It!!

This is a great book for reading about International Company. Pictures where beautiful taken. A must book to read. Well worth the money.

Superb photography and then end-all coffee table book for any "Red Tractor" fan

My future Son in Law is a big red tractor fan. This will be a great Christmas present for him this year. The book has many wonderful pictures, history of the tractors and the factories they came from. He will enjoy this book greatly. This book would be good for anyone who loves tractors and remembering the history of these machines.

Got this for my dad as a father's day gift a few days before father's day. I got the prime shipping and arrived on the Friday. My dad opened it up and he said it was his favorite gift that we ever gave him. Full of cool stuff about the tractors he had growing up as a kid on the farm.

Seemingly well written and researched, great photos and honest about the brand. Anyone interested in farm machinery would like this book, probably the best I have read.
