Really good.
Hard not to pound a whole package down at once. Everything you want in a beef snack. Spicy, salty, satisfying. Drink water with it though.

Delicious And Not Spicy HOT
I don't like spicy foods that are so hot you can't enjoy the taste so I was hesitant to purchase these. I usually buy the Biltong Original but noticed that the ingredients are basically the same if not the same so, I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. My only gripe is that for beef that is not grass fed, the price seems utterly ridiculous for a pack of dried beef. For me, this snack is a luxury. I could probably eat the entire bag in one sitting but I find that just a pinch is satisfying enough that I can make a bag last for a few days. The reason I purchased this brand is because the ingredients are minimal and there is no sugar or nitrites and other unsavory ingredients found in so many other brands.

Born again meat eater: Biltong > Jerky
Didn't quite know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised with this Kalahari Biltong. Found it to be a delicious alternative to jerky. Where jerky can be super hit-or-miss, often leathery and tough, this Biltong was tender and filling. The other major plus is the ingredient list. While I like the idea of Jerky as a snack (quick, easy protein), I'm always put off/grossed out by all of the artificial ingredients, sugar, preservatives, etc. This Biltong has a much cleaner bill of ingredients; feel much better about what I'm putting in my body. Also has great flavor - in fact, much more than expected. I imagine people who like an intense flavor profile will particularly like it. Also keeps well. Took it in my car yesterday, opened it and had some on the way to a hike, left it in the car, and it was still in perfect shape when I got back from the hike and polished off the rest of the bag. While I was initially bummed that there wasn't more in the package, it was quite a bit more filling than expected. What I also realized is that jerky tends to be in bigger chunks and can sit higher in the bag, giving the illusion that there's more in there. The Biltong sits lower in the bag because it's not as tough, so the pieces fold and gather toward the bottom. With that in mind, I found it to be at least reasonably similar in overall volume to what I get with high-quality jerky for about the same price, though I actually found the Bilton more filling and satisfying. In conclusion, I still enjoy Jerky and will probably grab it from time to time when it's the best available option (e.g. at a middle-of-nowhere gas station), but when I have the choice (e.g. sitting in front of Amazon right now), I'll definitely re-order this Kalahari Biltong in bulk.

Dry and chewy
I love beef jerky and stumbled across this spicy kilahari biltong and was intrigued - sucked in by the promise of a jerky-type snack but a healthier version. Yes, it is sugar free, gluten free, keto, very high in protein, with zero carbs - so it should be the perfect healthy snack, only I found the texture to be dry and unpleasant and very very chewy. It is made in the USA and has 0 g of sugar but that didn't make up for the taste and texture, which I couldnt get past. I am not passing judgement on the product quality itself or the manufacturers - just saying that I personally didn't care for the taste/texture and would rather buy jerky. Maybe if I'd eaten biltong for years before trying US jerky, then I would like it - but to my palate it was just dry and tasteless, slightly bitter, and way too chewy, and I didnt even eat the whole bag.

Something is VERY wrong (recieved Vacadillos jerky in the Kalahari package)
I have bought the spicy peri peri biltong for Kalahari numerous times over the past few years. In the past it has always been excellent and well worth the price. However, most recently the product I am recieving is totally different. It is extremely greasy, full of large chunks of fat, and cut twice as thick as what I typically receive. I placed an order for 5 bags and all 5 are this way. In the past it was drier, the cuts were thinner, and overall more lean. Not to mention it does not even have the same flavor I came to expect for their spicy peri peri variant. It now has the exact same taste, texture, greasiness, and so on as Vacadillos Carne Seca beef jerky I have picked up at a gas station. When I ate the first piece from this order I immediately thought of "that ultra greasy jerky I got at the gas station a month back".I almost wonder if the companies are related and somehow got this stuff mixed up. I am extremely disappointed and don't know if I will be ordering again unless there is some hard evidence that their quality improves. Before I hit submit on this I decided to do a quick google search of "vacadillos kalahari". Turns out the companies are related. They are all under Stryve Foods. The second result was a yahoo article about Stryve and states, "Stryve’s current product portfolio consists primarily of air-dried meat snack products marketed under the Stryve®, Kalahari®, Braaitime®, and Vacadillos® brand names."I am inclined to believe HUGE error was made and they packaged their product in the wrong packages.

Chili lime one is great
Chili lime one is great. I’m not sure the spicy one is good. It looks moldy so I’m contacting Amazon for a refund.
