This is plug and use. Does not appear to have a battery so use on the go is limited. Seems to help a little.

Item was covered in a stinky chemical smelling goo. It made few feel sick after touching it.

It definitely stopped my ears from itching. I can’t really tell if it helps the tinnitus. However, my ear canals are really small and I cannot use the silicone covers that are provided. Even when I tried using the smaller of the set of covers it was really uncomfortable.
