We have made several purchases of MREs and HDR’s in the past year from Ozark Outdoorz, LLC and have received excellent quality products backed by excellent customer support.The 2 cases we received were in excellent shape. The cases had inspection dates of 08/25. The TTI (Temp Time Indicators) were pristine orange in the center circle being the same shade as the outer orange square which indicates ideal storage practices for longevity.Be sure to read how to use the heater thoroughly. Some of the online videos fail to show the important step written in the instructions of after adding the water keep the fold sealed meal and heater in the cardboard sleeve level for 1 minute or until warm before setting the package at an angle. I believe this is to ensure the water comes in contact and is absorbed by all 4 of the heater cells on the pad to activate them. Make sure the heater pad is on the bottom.We tried menu 16 the Chicken Burrito Bowl. The heater worked excellently. While it was heating up, we snacked on the Recovery Mix which consisted of peanuts, cashews, almonds and little round pretzels with a lightly salted flavor. For the meal, we spread the cheese on the 2 tortillas then piled on the hot meal ingredients, wrapped and enjoyed the not too spicy but good tasting Burritos. The desert was a moist great tasting chocolate chip pastry like an unfrosted pop tart and ended with 2 chicklet types of gum. There was no coffee, creamer or sugar with this menu #16. The orange carbohydrate drink mix comes packaged in a mixing bag so just add water, shake and drink. A straw would have been nice for the drink.
