Great. I love it.
Since I live on the 36th floor condo, I’m not allowed to have a gas grill. Charcoal is too slow and dirty. Also, I would like to be able to grill in winter too. This is the solution I’ve been looking for. With this, I can grill fish, burgers, satay, steak, whatever at anytime indoor. The best thing about it is it’s not producing more smoke that pan frying something. Which means, it doesn’t make my hair and clothes smelly. It’s easy to use. The heat is uniform too across the entire surface. And it’s easy to clean the grill. For the bottom oil-catcher pan, I just cover it with aluminum foil before I grill so I don’t have to wash it. The only thing is I cannot clean the sides of the inner part of the base. And I cannot cover them with foil because they’re the source of the heating light. See picture.

Wow, An electric grill that really works!
Can't say enough good about this grill. Bought it on sale on Amazon and if I had known how good it worked I might have purchased a couple more. It really cooks (grills), no odor, VERY little smoke, gets hot immediately and is pretty easy to clean with just a damp sponge and water. I'm thinking about perhaps buying a couple more as Christmas gifts for my daughters and their families. Just think, no LP gas cylindes to buy and lug home, no charcoal to get started, light weight to carry and store (it will fit under a bed). Just plug it in and your food is cooked perfectly and quickly, what's not to like about this grill!! I love it.

Love to Grill
Works great as an indoor grill. Cooks just about everything perfectly if you are trying to simulate a gas grill. Cooking surface and drip tray clean up easy in the sink or dishwasher. While the food on the grill will not smoke, the contents of the drip pan will scorch and smoke. Careless turning of food can cause a mess indoors, so use quality cookware.Make sure you plug this into a wall outlet only. Cord will get hot on setting 2 and long term use while on setting 2 may damage outlets.

Extend the grilling season.
This grill works really well and has allowed us to grill indoors in the winter. My husband has done all kinds of large and small cuts of steak and lamb chops and pork chops. We have not yet tried chicken on it. That could be a challenge. It takes a few times to get the feel for the grill. So your first few attempts may err on the side of being a little overdone. In that respect it's much like our outdoor grills have been. Once you get the feel for it or if you're already a grill master the results will be as good as on any outdoor full sized grill.Cleaning of the grill and drip plate is easy. It takes up the top rack of the dishwasher but does well in there. The body of the grill itself gets a wipe down with a hot damp cloth and stays relatively clean but not pristine. There's very little smoke. We don't have a range hood, just a pop up exhaust fan in our counter, yet there's been no mess.

I'm a charcoal guy
The media could not be loaded. This little grill that I picked up on a deal of the day, does pretty well I think. I just used it for the first time and I thought the best test would be a burger. It was a good burger. If it was off the outside grill, (charcoal, Akorn Jr) it would have been better, but this electric grill did much better than what my optigrill does with burger. I think this will be a solid option when it's too rainy or freezing for outside cooking. I usually go for a medium burger, but I'm still getting used to the timing on this. I had no smoke at all and cleanup was easy. I'll update should things change.Did some chicken and burgers today. Still going good.Update 8/3/19 I've been using this grill a lot. I do a lot of chicken on it for lunches during the work week. I've put the grate through the dishwasher tons of times and it still looks new. I love this grill.

Kinda disappointed
I LOVE to grill, but living in an apartment means being subjected to fire codes. I refuse to oven-bake meats. A friend suggested I get this grill instead so I gave it a shot.Probably only pros are:-Easy to clean. The grill and bottom tray are dishwasher safe and can also just be handwashed.-The grill is non-stick so as long as you clean it, no worries about food sticking.-Virtually no smoke. There WILL be smoke, just nowhere near as pungent and strong as from a regular grill. There are quite a few technical issues with it:1. The IR light is so strong, you'll have to wear sunglasses or look at it from another angle.2. It's kinda small so you'll have to cook in batches.3. It's very energy inefficient. Because it's not covered from the top, the heat escapes so you're only cooking one side at a time while the top is not cooked by residual heat circling as it would in any other kind of grill. This also means you need to leave a LONG time reaching searing temperatures before you can use it and it's doubtful it'll get to the temperature it needs, especially if you have AC running.I've used it only a couple of times and getting ready to sell it or give it away. I'd rather go through the lengthy process of sous-vide then sear on a cast-iron pan, which gives me a proper cut of meat. Perhaps I'm spoiled with grills, but this is definitely not a suitable replacement by any means; only if it's an apartment where there are no community grills and you don't really care about texture.

Noticeably well built and simple to use
Received The Redigrill today and couldn’t wait to make some grilled pork chops. Out of the box and ready to go in less than 30 seconds. As per instructions put on keep warm setting for 5 seconds and then switch to high for 6 minutes to get grill plate to temperature. Chops were 1/2. To 3/4 inches thick and cooked to perfection equally from end to end. The juiceiest pork chops I ever had from any other type of grill. Clean up was also a snap to do. All I can say is if you are looking for an indoor grill that is practically smokeless look no further than the Redigrill. You won’t be sorry.
