Honeydukes: A Scratch & Sniff Adventure (Harry Potter) Novelty Book – June 26, 2018

This was a perfect addition to our math unit while we were having the lesson for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. We made a Honeydukes candy shop for the two weeks of our math unit. Oh, it was so much fun! The book is perfect, just the right amount of stinky and sweet as expected from the Honeyduke's Candy shop. I would highly recommend it (even if your not doing it for math... Teehee). Great product!

So my 2 year old daughter loves scratch and sniff books and after doing some research online to find some good ones I realized it was fairly difficult. My wife and I love Harry Potter so I thought this would be great for her, however some of the smells are def for adults and not necessarily a 2 year old (vomit smell, licorice). Will still be interesting to see her reaction to those smells but at the same time it might kill her love for scratch and sniff books. If you are a fan of Harry Potter then this would be a great gift for someone, just not so much a 2 year old ha.

As many other reviews have said, several of the smells have an off-putting chemical scent. It has a quote that it says Harry said to Ron when it should be the other way around (“They mean every flavor,” about the Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans). All that being said, it’s a decent length with some neat information about Honeydukes treats and a few cool scents included. As a Harry Potter super fan, I’m glad I bought it and can share it with my kids.

This scratch and sniff book is awesome. it even has butter beer and vomit scent!

It’s now 2023 and the stickers still smell just as vivid as the day I got it. My 4 year old and I read this often and we get some good giggles out of the silly treats. Love this book!

It’s a gorgeously illustrated book! Some of the scratch and sniffs are a little hard to smell but most are very prominent. Love the smell of the peppermint toads 😊!!! Great for display as well.

This book lost one star because the one they sent me is defective. The licorice wand page is missing the scratch & sniff sticker. All the other pages that have scent have a little round transparent sticker that you scratch with an arrow pointing to it saying “scratch & savor” but mine is missing one of the stickers so I was really disappointed. I wouldn’t care if it was the vomit jelly bean (I can’t believe they put that in the book) but it’s the yummy licorice. The 2nd lost star is just that I think they could have chosen some better scents, some are gross like the vomit and bogey jelly beans, the exploding bon bons smell like firework smoke, acid pops and black pepper imps aren’t very good either, and the blood flavored lollipop has a whole page dedicated to it but no scent at all, although I think that’s a good thing since I don’t like to smell blood. But still they could have put in butter beer or popcorn or gummies, or any other choices of all the yummy candy in the store! It’s still a pretty book and nice for a collector, I just wish it had some more pleasant scents.

Bought this book for my daughter for her birthday. She is a big Harry Potter fan. She absolutely loved the book. It's a scratch and sniff book and she smelled every smell more than once, even the not so pleasant ones I didn't like. This book goes with the Harry Potter books and so the things and smells in this book let's you understand what characters are talking about in the Harry Potter books.
