Freefly MoVI Adjustable Counterweight

I used this product with the Movi freefly . It was very easy to connect. You do have to balance the weights but overall it is durable and well crafted. The box the it arrived in was nice as well. The black styrofoam case was made to take impacts and keep its contents safe. Overall it is a great purchase and deserves the 5 stars for its quick arrival and easy setup.

If you have the Freefly gimbal and Moment lenses this is a must buy. Takes a little massaging to get the weights just right but you'll get there.

I give this product 4 stars because of the price.Tested on iPhone X, Xs Max, note 9, LG v35.Do not purchase this product if you are not planning to add lens to your setup.For iPhone XS Max, it does not balance out of the box. Just let the motor do it’s work to balance it. I understand that counterweight prevent heavier stress on the motor, not in this case. I’ve noticed the motors struggle when I had it set pan down to up.With lens setup, it’s a must. The gimbal motors will not balance this setup without counterweights.Be patient and learn to balance it. I find it much easier to balance with a lens setup than without. This counterweight system is really annoying. It’s part of why I returned the Movi.

These are well engineered and successfully solve counter wright issues when using the MOVI with an attached wide-angle lens. However, it then covers the audio jack port and blocks use of a standard audio jack microphone. The solution is an adapter that plugs into the charging outlet, but my iPhone 6 then picked up internal noise from the gyro motors using this. Freefly support were not able to fix this issue and I returned the MOVI. I had high hopes. Have to say ... MOVI support were very proactive.

I have a pixel 3 XL with an 18mm wide moment lens. Took me a while to adjust the gimbal perfectly. It works great now.

Love the Movi freefly gimbal. Wanted to add some moment lenses and it was nice to have counterweights made by the same company!

Great design if you use a larger phone or an add on lens, like a moment. Quality materials and easy balancing.The only drawback is that there is no access to the 3.5mm Jack for galaxy phones. There is access to the center USB port or lightning connector (is that the iPhone one?) built into the design.
