Easy, small and mighty.
I love this pump. I live in Florida we get hurricanes. When we have a storm coming the first thing we must do is get gas to run our generator. We do not have the luxury to wait and see about the storm because we actually run out of gas at all the gas stations. So we have had a few scares with storms but never hit us. Before buying this pump getting rid of several gallons of gas was a nightmare. We have the 5 gallon gas containers they are heavy when full, awkward to hold up to a Suv and pour I even have some gas tanks with a type of vent spout will not fit in Suv. Just a messy aggravating task. This little pump is genius. I pumped 16 gallons of gas in no time at all. I used this to remove as much gas as possible from the generator. I like this little pump so much I purchased a second one and purchased another as a gift for a friend.Like I said about hurricanes sometimes we loose water and I have three bathtubs filled with fresh water and it is also a major pain to retrieve water from the tubs. This pump works like a charm to neatly fill a bucket of water without contaminating the entire tub. No bailing out water and spilling and dripping all over the place. This pump is easy to use small and mighty. The one I use for fuel I have no issues with it breaking down after pumping fuel, as a matter of fact it will be used this weekend to get rid of the fuel purchased for Hurricane Matthew.

Works Surprisingly Well -- especially for the price
We've used this for over 6 months to pump mucky water out of sludge buckets. It took a lot of abuse before becoming temperamental to the point that I ordered another one.Out of curiosity I took the old one out into the shop to see if I could figure out what the problem was. If I bonked it just so, the motor would kick in briefly. So I cut away the black tube between the battery compartment and the motor, leaving the motor hanging from its wire. Now, if I held the battery compartment just so, the motor hummed along like new no matter how I angled or shook the motor around. But if I held the motor still and tilted the battery compartment around, it stopped or worked intermittently. So the motor was still absolutely fine, it just wasn't getting steady current. I suspect the thin foil contact at the bottom of the battery tube is the culprit -- it would be better if that part was heavier metal in my opinion. I could maybe have fixed it, but for only 14 bucks I just ordered a new one. If the next one has the same problem, I may try to beef up the battery contacts somehow, since I would have more confidence that the pump is fine.I was impressed with how well the motor was sealed. Now I won't worry in the future about getting sediment "in the motor" because it's completely sealed in plastic, with a good rubber seal where the thin motor shaft comes out.So five stars even though we eventually had to replace it, because it lasted way longer than I thought it would -- considering the sludge bucket duty we're using it for.

It works as expected!
This has more than paid for itself already!I bought this to fill a boat from 5 Gal containers instead of paying the on-water gas prices. Used it twice for my boat now. The first time I pumped 15 gals and the second just under 10 gallons. There are only two minor issues - first occasionally it starts making a noise (I think its no fuel in to pump sound). It did that a couple times while there was plenty of gas left to pump - but I think it was when someone stepped on or off the boat and the pump moved a bit with the boat. It was a minor issue - I quickly turned it off and right back on and it continued to pump. The other is that it doens't have a shut off - so I had to keep a close eye on it when I thought the boat was nearly full and be ready to shut it off quickly. It doesn't advertising having a auto shut off and I didn't expect that it should - so its not an issue with this product - just something you should be aware of when using it. The last thing to mention is that it has a pretty short hose - I would have to have the boat right against the dock for it to reach - so I put it on the back swim platform - keep that in mind also - you may want to measure if you need to reach any distance with the hose (or hold the can next to it). With marinia prices currently 60-70 cents more per gallon -its already paid for itself (I already had the gas cans so didn't include them in the break-even cost - although it won't take long and I could include the cost of a gas can too and still be ahead.).I also filled my lawnmower with this and it worked great - of course still a short hose (can't reach from the ground to the lawnmower to fill it, you have to keep an eye when its getting full. It didn't make the noise for me when filling the lawnmower until the gas container was actually about empty. (oh you can't get every drop of gas out - but if you tip the can you can get most of it and leave a little in the bottom.Bottom line it worked well. BTW I let the hose drip a couple times in the gas tank - so I didn't even have one drop of gas anywhere it shouldn't be. I also put the pump back in the plastic bag to avoid a gas smell in my trunk as I took the pump back home.
