Perfect for Trigger Thumb
It was in reading the reviews that swayed me to buy the combo (2 splints & 10 finger sleeves), so it seemed only fitting to pay that helpfulness forward by posting this review. My thumb has been clicking & locking into place when I extend it. Recently, that motion began to cause me some pain. My doctor advised me to rest it for a few MONTHS & recommended that I come into his office to pick up a split. Needless to say, the splint was gigantic & very uncomfortable. It was restrictive in ways that limited my ability to move parts of my hand that didn't require immobilization. The splint was causing a bigger issue while remedying the thumb issue. I already knew that I would likely not wear the splint for longer than a few days, so I looked on Amazon for other options.I tried two other types/brands from other sellers before I found this splint. I had no idea that finding a good thumb splint would be so difficult. I was relieved to find this seller & the combo pack. The splint is small enough so that it's not cumbersome, but strong enough to keep my thumb from bending/moving in ways that aggravate the tendon. It remains securely in place when it is fastened. At the same time, it is easy to remove when I am doing the dishes or washing my hands. The finger sleeves are also tremendously helpful. They're thicker than they appear in the photos (which is great). The elastic in them allows for a moderate degree of bending. From the time I put the sleeve on (most of yesterday & through the night), I haven't felt the painful popping sound that my thumb makes. Last night, I slept with a finger sleeve on my thumb & it was so comfortable that I forgot that I still had it on. I have a tendency of removing splints in the middle of the night. But not this time. Yay! I am really pleased with this purchase. Thank you, fellow reviewers, for taking the time to post your experiences with this product. You rock!

Unbelievable effectiveness with swollen fingers (arthritis)
I've had rapid onset, severe arthritis this past year. I've been scrambling to find relief for the pain in my fingers. Swollen knuckles (can't fit my wedding ring over the knuckle). Massages (feels good but now terribly effective), prednisone (effective, but only short-term solution, re: side effects), CBD oil (nope), hemp cream (nope), battery-powered hand massager (nope), NSAIDs (nope), Acetaminophen (nope), oxycodone (well, yeah, but can't do that long term!). Oxycodone and prednisone certainly gave relief from pain, but not the swelling. It's been awful. Plus I've lost general mobility in my fingers. Can't play guitar anymore. Really, been awful. These stupid little finger sleeves. Oh my gosh. Within 18 hours the swelling went down for the first time in SIX MONTHS! I can't believe it. Still "sore" but not unbearable. Marked, marked improvement. The splints help when I sleep, preventing my fingers from "curling up." That's why I got them, for the splints. The splints are fine. Well-made and perform as expected. But the finger sleeves! Wow! Very comfortable and have made a huge difference. IDK why compression works (I'd have thought they'd cut off the circulation and make things worse, but no, they are extremely effective in keeping the swelling down). Wasn't expecting this. They are worth the price of admission alone. Pretty remarkable. I'm very pleased, to say the least.

Using these for Mallet Finger
The BodyMoves Finger Splints are the best over the counter solution I've found to help my ordeal of a torn tendon which resulted in mallet finger. I'm on my second pair as the damaged finger joint needs to be immobilized for 8 weeks. I'm on week 7. Much to the annoyance of my wife I keep using my hand to get things done around the house. So I have tried a couple different kinds of splints and these ended up being my go-to splints. These splints are easy to get on and off, they are comfortable and adequately padded, and they do serve the intended purpose. You can also bend them easily to the shape you need and it's tough for me to bend them out of shape with a single wrapped finger (although I'm sure there must be someone out there with unbelievable finger strength). I do have a couple of additional observations/suggestions.(1) if you are going to take these on and off a lot, the material the Velcro grabs wears out and they just stop being as secure as I would like. This is true with most excessively used Velcro, so not a defect, just be aware you might need more splints depending on term of use. I just bought my second pair after week 4 of use of the first pair.(2) if you look at the picture, I added a little piece of foam lined metal under the splint wraps to help me keep my finger joint from moving. The foam/metal I added wears out quicker than the BodyMoves Finger Splint does. Again, not a defect of the splint needing these, but I keep using my hand and needed to do this to stop as much joint flexing as I could. The extra metal/foam did help and I don't put it in there all the time.(3) If you need extra support or want to stop these splints from getting dirty get some self adhesive bandage wrap, you can get it in about the same color, and cover the entire splint/finger with it. Just don't make it too tight. I usually do that before working in the yard or when I know I might be lifting heavy objects for some extra support.(4) I have not been getting these wet, other than sweat. Therapy made me a plastic splint for that. But they do get splashed when washing hands and they dry right up. I always have another i can switch to if needed. After yard work I usually swap to a clean splint until first one dries.(5) the straps that Velcro around your finger are a little stretchy, so that's good, so you don't make them too tight, but also bad if you put your hand into your pants or coat/jacket pocket. The splint tends to get stuck and slide right off your finger. Wrapping the entire splinted finger in some self adhesive bandage wrap does help, mainly because it makes it too big to get into some pockets, at least the ones where it would get stuck. So think about what pocket you put your car keys into.(6) most likely, you will not be able to get a glove on with these splints. Not a defect, that's probably the case with most finger splints. So, if it's winter, get a pair of mittens.
