Great mouth guard
We bought some cheap ones that kept folding in on themselves when you boil. This one keeps its shape with the double layers. Followed the instructions and it was easy to shape. Not too hot for the kids.

Does it's job
Purchased for my 8yr old to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments, and it was pretty easy to fit, and it works well for him. With this mouth guard he is confidently snatching necks and cashing checks. He's all about that tap, snap or nap life.

It looks too small BUT IT IS NOT. Don't worry
People have mentioned how small it is and that they returned it. These people were judging it based on its non-boiled form. Once you boil it and go through the steps it will completely fit an adult mouth, so don't worry and don't pay attention to those reviews as they don't understand how these mouthguards work. I love the two layer system and it fits beautifully.

Don't b deceived by small appearance...and don't bite down too hard!!
**THERE IS A VERY HELPFUL TIP TO MOLDING THIS TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF REVIEW**-Yes ppl, it looks incredibly small when u receive the item (tho it actually looks only slightly smaller than the mouth guard that came with his sparring gear), but just as the 'adult' mouth guard reviewers say- it LOOKS way too small BUT when you actually heat it and fit it, it FITS PERFECTLY...lets also not forget that A KID'S MOUTH IS ACTUALLY MUCH SMALLER on the inside THAN U REALIZE (even tho they may have a "big mouth" with how they speak sometimes lol)...surprisingly the sizing was only a tad too small when my 10&1/2 yr old first put it in his mouth (BEFORE MOLDING IT) as it looks like it would b way too small before u mold it, but as I said the inside of their mouths r actually pretty tiny (even a 10yr old's mouth), but AFTER GOING THRU THE PROCESS it was the PERFECT SIZE (it EXPANDS FROM THE HEAT, as I expected it would, it's SCIENCE guys)!!..after spending sooo much time searching for a decent child's mouth guard and reading tons of reviews, I finally decided on the venum challenger line, then I debated a long time on whether to get him the child size or the adult size, since hes right between both sizes according to their age ranges (10 and under for kids, 11 and up for adult..he's literally smack dab in the middle of that), and am GLAD I WENT with the SMALLER (kids sized) ONE, as I'm sure the adult one would've been much too large and bulky and would've made breathing a bit harder..after reading all the adult reviewers- thinking it looked too small, but then fitting it and it being the perfect size- I finally decided on going with the kids hoping for the same results, since it also looked too small from reviewers' pics of the kid sized, but I figured once heated it would also fit perfectly just as the adults said theirs did..which it did for us as well!!..and I'm glad I went with the kid's...- Now to the 1 PROBLEM I encountered (and reason for dropping a star)- I followed the instructions to a T (twice actually) and used a timer n everything (even had him practice placing it on his teeth in the mirror with it before heating it to mold it) so he'd get the perfect fit, and his mouth guard, while being the correct size after molding it (both times) WILL NOT STAY SITTING ON HIS TEETH and slips down off of his teeth when he opens his mouth, it's not supposed to do this. I've come to realize that the REASON it doesn't stay sitting on his teeth properly is because he BIT DOWN TOO HARD during the molding process...the reason he bit down so hard is cuz I told him to bite down hard, and I told him to do this because the instructions say "BITE DOWN FIRMLY"...I now realize that that is actually a bad thing to do and it RUINS THE FIT IF U BITE DOWN HARD, cuz then the teeth go straight thru to the bottom black (the outer layer of hard plastic) and have no red waxy mold left to hold them in place...we did the sucking and pressing all around the mouth guard while fitting, so the sides all around the teeth r molded and fit well, but unfortunately without the red stuff in place in the bottom tray to give the teeth that hold, it will NOT STAY in place..by biting down so hard, it displaced all the red wax and left nothing in the bottom of the tray to hold the teeth in place..We did the process twice hoping to get it to stay seated on teeth, but it WON'T no matter how many times we re-do it, cuz there is NO RED WAX layer LEFT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TRAY from biting down thru it and displacing it all....THEREFORE, the instructions, while being pretty decent throughout for the most part, WILL MESS U UP if you "BITE DOWN FIRMLY"...I believe u must be a bit more careful when u bite down during molding and DON'T BITE DOWN THRU ALL THE RED WAX down to the black...so BITE, BUT NOT HARD,b a bit gentle with the bite!!!!-So while the mouth guard is the CORRECT SIZE and fits well, it doesn't stay put on his teeth, and now we will need to get a new one that will stay seated, otherwise every time he opens his mouth in karate to breath better (which everybody needs to do while exercising of any sort), it will fall off..not cool..the INSTRUCTIONS RUINED our $10 mouth guard and now I will have to spend another $10 on another one, making this $20 for ONE well fitted MOUTH GUARD, and I'm not happy about that :/-But to all that sent the item back then came on here to leave a BAD REVIEW cuz it "looks too small" without even bothering to try molding it first- u should've given it a try and done the molding process before u decided it wouldn't fit!! That's just silly imo (and I think I've thoroughly explained why...again it's science...).-To the manufacturers- Print BETTER INSTRUCTIONS, that DON'T SAY to BITE DOWN FIRMLY, u should change it to- bite down, but not too hard to where u go thru to the bottom of the tray and lose all grip from the wax under the teeth, u need to leave some of the wax between the bottoms of the teeth and the black outer tray, to actually create the hold u need to keep it in place!! BITE DOWN CAREFULLY...***hopefully this helps someone, cuz I sure wish I had known this before ruining our $10 mouth guard, and if this has been informative for u then please click 'helpful' below***

Great fit after you fallow the direction.
Fit my 9 yr old daughter perfectly after we molded to her mouth with worm water. After that you put in cold water and it keeps the shape of your teeth.

This held up great!
My son is 6 and likes to use his mouth guard as more of a bubble gum in his mouth 🤣 this one made it the entire season, and didn’t melt upon making it, like the first ones previously had.

Good fit for kids
My 9 year old is in martial arts and was given a mouth guard that was almost unusable because it was uncomfortable for him to wear. This one fits beautifully once it's molded and is not as bulky. Will definitely buy another one to keep as a backup.
