Worth.Every.Penny!
These are the crème de la crème of crochet hooks. I recently started working on microcrochet and the budget hooks ( not impossible to work with, but not easy either) don't even come close to the ease of working fine threads with a Tulip hook. These are so precisely crafted, it's insane, especially for something so small.

Love these hooks
I've been crocheting for a while and never invested in good crochet hooks. I would keep buying cheap hooks where the grip would fall off relatively quickly and had blunt tips. These hooks have more pointed tips so its much easier to push the hook through a stitch. Also the grips are much higher quality than other hooks i've had. I definitely want to get these in larger sizes now!!

Pricey but worth it
I paid more than I wanted, but still the best price available for this set online. After I pulled the trigger, I was so glad. I can work with thread again after having had to quit years ago because of arthritic fingers. Happy camper here. I'd buy it again all day long. Do not regret this purchase!I have a tip for arthritis sufferers...these handles are not thick enough to help, but they are thick enough to use an egg shaped foam pencil grip, which is exactly what I did. Works perfectly and keeps my fingers relaxed enough so I can do thread crochet with minimal discomfort.

I. Love. These. Hooks!!
HUGE PRICE JUMP!! I paid $50 including taxes just 2 weeks ago. I came back today to buy the set as a gift and the price is now $77. Anyone thinking of buying these here should look elsewhere. Something “fishy” about a $27 increase in just a few days. How can a quality crochet hook make SOOooo much difference?? These are beautiful to look at and seem perfectly balanced. I bought a cute inexpensive set of pastel colored hooks here on Amazon & although they certainly are CUTE - they seem to pull & drag when I’m crocheting with threads. I decided to try these Tulip hooks - figured I could return them if they didn’t seem worth the $$$. I knew instantly that these were exactly what I need. I’ve cranked out several doilies in the time it took to do one with the cute hook. These are worth the extra cash - and since my hands don’t get tired and sore - my doily making days are not over!😄

Impeccable
I plan to use these for lace and beading - hook sizes are: 0/1.75mm, 2/1.50mm, 4/1.25mm, 6/1.00mm, 8/0.90mm, 10/0.75mm, 12/0.60mm & 14/0.50mm which easily fits right through a size 11 seed bead (perfect for adding tiny beads to cobweb weight knitting). The hooks are perfectly smooth, the handles are soft with clearly marked sizes. Most impressive are the caps - they're not just tubes of plastic, they fit firmly and have a solid end so if you bump them, it won't collapse or crack. These are proper protection for your fine hooks. (I'll try to add a photo but I'm new to this so we'll see....)The case is a pleasant surprise - the stitching and binding are high quality, and overall the size is smaller than I'd anticipated (a good thing if you like to take projects on travels). The case fastens quickly with a metal fastener and the fabric is a sturdy canvas. There's also a sharp pair of scissors, a couple of darning needles, and space in the zippered pocket for a few more notions. Overall this is an impeccable tool set.I didn't crochet when I visited the Tulip needle factory in Japan (where these hooks are made) but I was impressed with how open they were and how proud the employees were to make quality needles. I'm very happy that I can buy these in the US and already saving up for the set of larger size hooks.

Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys thread crochet.
All you need for thread crochet is assembled for you in this kit. The hooks are very comfortable and a joy to work with. They are very smooth and grab thread wonderfully. Even cluster stitches are a breeze with these. The elastomer handles have good grip, allowing you to loosen up and abandon that painful death grip you have to use with traditional steel hooks. The hook itself extends through the handle; it is not just a hook tip glued into a handle, so no worries about the tip popping off. Each hook has a plastic cover to protect the hook tip while not in use.The case is much higher quality than I was expecting, as are the darning needles and the scissors. Use caution with the scissors; they are scary sharp!I would highly recommend this set to anyone who enjoys thread crochet. I would definitely purchase this kit again. The kit shipped much quicker than expected. Thank you.

Hard to enjoy the hooks when the tips snap off without effort.
Like everyone says, crocheting with these hooks is like cutting butter with a hot knife. It is super smooth.Too bad the durability is below par. I used the 0.5mm hook in this set for all of 30 minutes and the tip snapped right off (see photo).I contacted the manufacturer for a replacement but, honestly, I don't hold out much hope and will probably return the set to Amazon for a replacement or refund.I'm very disappointed as I am told these are supposed to be of the utmost quality.EDIT: I did end up with an exchange through Amazon and the replacements are holding up great! I adjusted to 4 stars and just warn that product mishaps can happen. However, the quality once replaced was exactly what I was told it should be.
