VOBOOMMens Herringbone Tailored Collar Waistcoat Fullback Wool Tweed Suit Vest

I purchased this collared vest intending to wear it alone and not under a jacket. since there were no reviews for this product, I was unsure if the quality would be to my liking. I decided to purchase in two sizes (glad I did!) because my chest measurement (44") was on the border between L and XL. the L felt snug and the XL turned out to be better for me. I also purchased a second vest (Ruth and Boaz) that has the wool herringbone with a polyester back, but with many positive reviews. This enabled me to compare them side by side. The R&B vest has four buttons while the Voboom has five. the R&B vest (4 buttons) was too large in XL, but despite the reviews, I didn't find it to have the same quality or fit that I got with this Voboom vest. I was turned off by the polyester back which might be fine if you are wearing a jacket over the vest. the prices between the two brands were comparable, but I found the look, fit (5 buttons gives a more tailored fit) and full material back of this Voboom vest to be more stylish and an overall higher quality. This Voboom vest is the better value in my opinion.

Great quality vest! Love that it has a full back, most vests you find only care about the front. This one is full quality front and back. Fabric is lovely, and the lining is a great touch. Fits as expected and looks great!

VERY nice vest. Love that the wool finish is on the back as well. The sizing is a bit odd in my opinion, though I wouldn't call it wrong. Just different than I'm used to. I ordered a 3XL, 'just to be safe.' 3xl's of most any garment fit a bit large, and slack can always be taken up with the straps in back.It's still a bit too small -- but I'm losing weight, so will keep it. That being said, the 'inches measurements' size chart seems reasonably accurate, though I hardly took the tape to it precisely. I personally think their definition of a '3XL' is too small, but it seems to be about the size in inches they say it is, so I won't claim it's the wrong size. And yes, I had read the size chart when I ordered it, so I can't complain about that. I'm just noting their lettered sizes seem different than I would expect. Or maybe my body is oddly shaped. I don't shop vests regularly, so I can't say if this is normal for vests in general.All in all, it seems to be a great value right out of the box. Just consult the sizing chart to get a better chance of a good fit.

Darker than portrayed on screen (computer or phone) and darker than the matching tie. Just a little snug in waist but not overly snug and the back belt doesn't offer any real loosening. Cannot gain not an inch in stomach! Chest fits perfectly. But with some wear will probably loosen. Very well tailored and gentlemanly. Looks great. Will wear very well without sport coat, too. I would buy again. Attached picture is with vest, the matching tie and my herringbone sport coat. Hopefully you can see the color difference.

Exactly what we wanted. My fiance is a stocky, 5 foot 11 inch build, generally wears an extra large in t-shirts... we purchased the 3x and it fit him perfectly. I love the vest material is consistent throughout the entire vest and the back is not Satin like some similar vests we looked at. It arrived in just two days . This piece is perfect for our wedding and I cannot wait for him to wear it.

The color and pattern is nice. The quality of the fabric and stitching is good. However, they run small in my opinion. I'm 6' tall and weigh approximately 200 lbs. I ordered the XL which should have had extra room but I could not button the front of the vest and had to leave it open. I should have ordered a size up and got the XXL. I will need to loose about 20 lbs to fit into this, ha ha. So I recommend the vest but make sure you order a size up because it seems to be a slim or tight fit.

When my husband wanted to purchase a vest (nonetheless one off Amazon that he couldn't try on first), I was skeptical. When the vest arrived, though, I have to say I was proven wrong. This vest is of great quality and the dark gray color is beautiful. My husband usually wears a large in mens shirts and has a more athletic build with broad shoulders. We took his measurements per the manufacturer's fit guide and ordered the XL in this vest, but it was still quite tight near the waist. Ended up exchanging it for XXL and it fits PERFECT and looks fantastic on him. I strongly recommend sizing up on this product for the best fit, but once you get the fit right, you'll be really pleased with this vest.

I’m a female 5’3 100lbs.I’m comparing three vests all size Small. I wanted to get a green Harrys tweed vest. Mostly, I was looking for a heavy vest to help with the winter in Missouri. So far, none of the options have a Harrys tweed logo.The Irish Celtic Ranch weights 10 1/2 oz. =290grsThe Vaboom weights 11 1/2oz =326grsThe Onlylover weight 11oz 313grs, which is surprising since it has a satin back.None of these vests have internal pockets. The Irish Celtic has 4 external pockets, which is nice. All pockets are closed, just use a needle to open them up. Avoid using a pair of scissors, you don’t want to risk cutting the fabric by mistake.The Onlylover and the Voboom can be stretched by pulling the two straps on the back (see photo). Unfortunately, the Irish Celtic has only one strap to pull on the back, which means you get half of the stretch. That is really a pity cause I really liked the Irish Celtic.Irish Celtic is a bit more narrow than the Onlylover (See picture).From all the tree I would say Voboom has a more tailr finished, then the Irish Celtic and the Onlylover has a more relaxed structure.Reading the reviews on all these products, I thought getting a small size would fit me well enough. Most people complained about the vests being too small. Well, none of these vests are small enough to fit me. I guess reviews depend on the eyes of the beholder.

Perfect. Fit was good but do make sure you read their sizing guides and not Amazon’s. Waistcoat is very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for.

Overall the cut is satisfactory however I would prefer a wider measure of material over the shoulders.

After reading the reveiws I was carefull ordering and it fit perfectly. It's really well made so far and will probably order another in a different colour.

Remarkably good value and nicely styled. The 'full back' - avoidance of a shiny, synthetic, back panel - is especially appealing and harks back to more traditional waistcoat designs. It's easily become one of my favourites.
