Beautiful and functional to boot
I order two Khukuri from GK&CO, Kukri House. Both Khukuri arrived in great condition. Kukri House provided a smooth transaction with fast shipping. The quality of this khukuri is very good. It came with a straight blade that was rust free, having a light oil applied. The edge comes sharp ready to use, although with a few pass on a strop or steel and it gets hair shaving sharp. It has a thick spine with a rat tail tang that goes to the butt cap. This Khukuri is the same model that is provide to the Nepalese Police in Nepal which they carry on duty. I can trust that this Khukuri will perform any bush craft that needs to be done. The Karda and Chakmak are pretty useless. However, when out in the country one needs to only carry this and a small additional knife. The steel used is from truck springs, which is 5160. A great steel that many blade smithies use in their custom knives here in the states. To assure many years of use it will require a light coat of oil when not in use, but I even do that on my stainless blades. Just a habit of mine. This is an authentic Khukuri that will not disappoint. Thanks Kukri House

Cheaply made...
Blade doesnt fit in sheath. Metal Tip of sheath snapped off sliding knife inside for first time. Blade has spots of rust. Handle/butt has sharp metallic edges that cut palm of hand

Amazing Kukri
You can see the quality craftsmanship in this kukri, and is amazing for the price. The blade is quite thick, and it takes an edge with a bit of work, but that is because of the convex edge of the blade. The brass cap at the bottom of the handle needs a bit of sanding to round out sharp edges, but that is expected when getting a handcrafted blade. The sheath fits the kukri and two knives quite snug, so no worries about them falling out. It shipped the same day I purchased it, and arrived much earlier than expected. I will definitely be buying from GK&CO again.

Well made, performs great.
You don't usually find a blade of this quality for this cheap. It's just the right size for me. It came nice and sharp, and the chakmak works great for putting a fresh edge on it before starting something new. It's about the best batoning knife I've ever had, works great for all sorts of camping tasks. My only complaint is that the metal piece on the back of the hilt had some sharp corners that would stick my hand during vigorous use, but a few turns on my grinding wheel took care of that. Overall it is an amazing knife, especially for the price, and I would recommend it to anyone.
