Kitten is happy
Kitten was orignally on Royal Canin from the breeder, however her stools were very loose with blood and mucus. After ruling out parasites and other infections, the vet put her on Hills I/D prescription diet - although this did not help a great deal.Knowing the James Wellbeloved brand worked for our previous cat with digestive issues, I switched her to this and she is much happier and healthier. Normal stools and her coat has gone from rough and wirey to soft and glossy. If having issues with kitty digestion I recommend trying this brand.

Excellent food; stopped my kitten's tummy problems
My kitten was initially very sensitive to what she ate, and for 3 weeks would have fairly bad diarrhea at least once a day. After weening her off Whiskas and attempting Lily's Kitchen (this actually made the problem worse), I found her problems completely went away after switching to this food fully. Now she has solid stools, and has an incredibly glossy coat which wasn't the case before at all (it was quite matted and spiky). This food is expensive, but if you have kittens that are struggling then this may solve their problems.

BEWARE
I typed 'James well beloved wet puppy food' into the amazon search bar. It appeared on screen with an option to change the size, which I did. What I wasn't expecting to happen was for the food to change from puppy food to kitten food. I only noticed this once the order had been placed and was apparently 'unable to return' it. I contacted the pet shop who told me that I could exchange it but that I would need to pay for the postage. As it was quite heavy and I had already spent £14 I have no intention of doing this. I am unable to comment on the 'flavour' and 'scent' as I won't be opening the package. Really miffed.

Grey pieces of meat in the top of pouch
I’ve bought this food for my kitten for almost two months and although he enjoyed it and his poo was fine I started to notice grey pieces of meat in the top of each pouch so I’d have to remove between five to fifteen pieces of off looking meat each time. This started happening in the last three boxes I bought which was annoying. The price went up by a pound but I continued buying it but when it went up to £9.99 with almost £7 postage I thought not a chance. I could get it cheaper from Waitrose but I’d rather not feed my cat grey meat.

Highly recommended
My kittens utterly adore this product! They quite like most types of wet food and I've tried them on a few but they go absolutely crazy for this - the second I open the packet they start meowing for it and they won't even wait until I put it in their bowl - they eat it as I squeeze it out of the pouch (and get covered in gravy in the process). The one disadvantage is that since the pieces are really soft it can be quite difficult to get everything out the pouch so I tend to empty as much as I can into their bowl then cut the pouch open an let them lick it clean. It'd be an expensive way to feed hungry kittens exclusively so I just give one pouch to my two kittens each night and give them James Wellbeloved dry food (fish flavoured) the rest of the the time.
