Dino Crisis

Being a big fan of all survival horrors I was a little miffed when ODM gave this 7 and just said it was a poor PC/Playstation port,I bought it anyway and after a few minutes was gripped,Like the other review said,it's a bit more strategic than RE,with the use of environmental objects such as the 'laser fences' to stop the dinos.I've since played a demo of the PC one and it's graphically not as good,the only complaints on the DC as to graphics are some of the scenery,mainly notices on doors etc.are strange 'trapeziums' as the more powerful DC renders an old PSX game.Gameplay wise it's excellent,the only downer is that you don't have a memo file like in RE so you have to write codes down unless you fancy backtracking.

Well i played this game on the playstation back in 2001 and i really did enjoy it then...so when i recently bought a dreamcast and got a few resi evils to spend some quality time on i thought...hey might aswell get dino crisis aswell.So what went wrong?? I was'nt expecting a sleeker updated version like resi evil on the gamecube but this game game really has'nt stood the test of time very well.The way the game starts is a giveaway for how the rest plays out from the dated graphics and puppet type movements..the faces that the lips dont move during the dialouge scenes and the awful music and limited animations!!The awkward item screen,disks and codes,wall safes for supplies,all hinting at the great resi evil but never in a ice age comparing to it!!You'll be running back to code 'veronica' as if a raptor was chasing you but for all the wrong reasons!!I love all the resi evils and just like you guys,im always on look out for a similar tour de force on other games but this one just doesnt cut it for me!!When i play other games like -Medievil ,metal gear solid,abes oddeyssey they all in there own way, have stood the test of time...unfortunately-Dino crisis has not.For all the resi fans-you will be dissapointed if you buy this game and im sure you'll agree..leave a comment and let me know what you think,thanks for reading.

My son loves playing this game with his friends at weekendsHe says it's fun and I have to say reasonably priced
