My 5 year-old's favorite Leapster game!
My five year-old chooses this game over Spongebob, Cars, and Dora just about every time he plays! It's awfully fun and cute, with the carnival-style games like popping balloons. He also loves making the characters jump, bounce on the trampoline, and hang from the tightrope as they move to catch letters and spell short words. As they play games and collect tickets, they can buy monster parts and build a dancing monster. My son LOVES feeding the tickets to the ticket machine (it reminds me of the Chuck E Cheese ticket machine!) The games themselves are fun, but this added motivation is icing for the cake!By the way, my son got a Gameboy Advance from my mother-in-law for Christmas, but he hardly plays it. He still very much prefers his Leapster games!

Good game but son likes Jump Start World Kindergarten better
My 5 yr old son really likes the Leapster Kingdergarten game when traveling or out an about. At home he ignores it to play his Jump Start World Kindergarten Computer game. I have to cut him off after an hour or so or he will play it until he is cranky. I like Jump Start becuase it gives mastery percentages broken down by skill for us parents. Leapster's building Monsters reward and earning tickets is not especially motivating for my son. For another personality or if you do not have a computer I recommend Leapster's kindergarten game wholeheartedly.

Teaching my learning disabled daughter so much so fast!
I bought this for my daughter who has high-functioning Autism and did not learn anything in her Kindergarten class other that kids are cruel. She was called retarded by her classmates and I got little to no help from the school. I pulled her out and we started homeschooling her. I bought this to get an idea of what she knows and how she likes to learn. She loves this game, and has even learned how to spell a few words since playing it. She learns through play so this is perfect for her. I also bought her the first grade game when she is ready to move on.

BEST GAME FOR LEAPSTER!!!
I purchased a Leapster for my son's 4th birthday in September of this year. Originally I purchased two games for the system; toy story 3 and wall-e. They were okay but they didn't really do it for me, even my son would get bored with those games fairly quickly! I was reading reviews on the Kindergarden game and they were all positive, how much better it was than all the other games, that people's children were not getting bored with it, etc. I picked up a copy of it for Christmas and now he is back into his Leapster, and even I am WAY happier with this game!!

Can you say ten stars
There is not much to say about this reinforcer, You have to buy it to see what We are talking about. An the game it comes with is ok, but not hours play like this. It keeps my son occupied for about an hour (because I encourage him to do other things and I want to keep this exciting for him) But I love it. I hear him go, oh, mom, Just a little bit more. I am like five minutes. His brother is always over his shoulder, we will get him one for his birthday. :).

A favorite!
Our 5 year old loves this game. It is by far her favorite of the five that she has. She plays it all the time. It has great learning activities. My favorite is spelling the words. She has learned several words; how to read them, spell them and identify them. As a teacher this is a wonderful skill for a not yet Kindergartner to have.
