They work well and not too expensive that you don't mind banging up. Speaking of banging up, the shipping was pretty bad, they came just in a plastic bag. In the past they would at least put them in a long box. Because of this terrible packaging every rod had some guide inserts that fell out. It did an excellent job and has the backbone to handle large fish. When bank fishing it is often important to be able to cast distance. This rod has that capability plus can handle heavy weights and baits. The reel seat also held the Abu 7000 reel I used very security.
