Complete Satisfaction So Far
This review is based on my initial use and impressions and I will update the review if I find any negative aspects to this product. Like many other RV owners, mine came with a Genesis GT-2.0, which in my opinion is really a terrible product. I was never able to get the GT 2.0 to read a DVD and the video output was composite, not HDMI. So, I finally gave up on the GT-2.0 and found the iRV34 as a replacement. It is advertised as a direct replacement and that is absolutely the case. I literally took it out of the box, pulled all the wires from the old GT-2.0 and plugged them into the iRV34 and turned it on for an installation time of way less than 5 minutes. It worked immediately using the existing composite cables. I then used an HDMI cable to hook up to one of the two ports on the irV34 to the HDMI port on the television and immediately had a working unit so I discarded the composite cables. The unit has two output and two input HDMI ports on the back and an HDMI input port on the face of the unit so you can hook up players into any of them. I didn't have enough time to try everything on the unit but everything worked. Bluetooth with my phone, DVD player, and radio all worked fine but I didn't have an SD card or USB drive to try them or to have the television sound route through the iRV34 to the RV speakers. Based on what I have seen so far, I readily endorse this product. The Amazon price is about a third less than I would have paid at the RV online dealer where I found other reviews which gave me the confidence to buy this unit.

Straight forward installation & wiring
Installation was easy. No surprises and the unit works as expected. Wiring diagram on the unit and in the manual easy to follow. Navigation is a little funky, switching inputs if you have a CD or DVD in the unit results in a delay until the disk initializes, be patient (just a few seconds) it will then allow you to move to the next input... The trim strips do not allow for any "give". The cabinet in the RV is ever so slightly warped and the trim strips will not clip tight on the one side. That is not a product issue, but design could allow for a little "give". It fit the cutout exactly where the old unit was (2012 Wildwood 26' camper). On the camper, mine had a switch for the outside speakers. Since this unit has three outputs, I simply cutout the external switch and connected the outside speakers to #3. Overall, worked perfectly for my installation.

2nd one in a row with a non working remote. Terrible customer service
This is the second one I have purchased and again the remote control doesn't work. Have written a few times with no reply. Gonna return this one as well and purchase a cheaper model without the dvd or remote and just buy a separate dvd player. Won't look as nice. But will cost half the amount and at least I know I am getting what I am paying for. Terrible customer service and will leave feedback

Some issues, but good RV radio replacement
The iRV34 was a direct replacement for my Elite series radio installed in my camper. The unit looks great. For some reason, when I turn the unit off then back on, sound fails to come on. Once I unplug then reinsert the speaker harness the sound will comeback on...until you turn the unit off then back on, no sound again. I inspected the plug, but didnt see any pins or sockets loose or pulled out. I found that I had to not push the connector in all the way. I've checked it for 2 days now, and no sound issues any longer. I've secured the plug in this position. I'm glad i figured it out, as i didnt want to have to go thru the hassle of returning the radio. Also, the number 4 preset button will not save a station. All 7 of the other preset buttons work fine. The last issue is the EQ function. The owners manual makes absolutely no mention of how to set the EQ. You access it by taping on the button in the center of the volume button. Only tap it, if you push and hold it, it brings up the ability to change from USA or Europe radio frequencies. Now the good, it looks great and the sound seems to be better quality (even with the standard low quality rv speakers) than the factory unit. Instalation is a breeze...if you've ever wired up a car stereo, its all the same. Power, ground, antenna and speakers. No issues with the display, like other reviews. We'll see how it holds up.
