Seems stable /comfortable . May draw attention as it looks like a gun, quite bulky but not heavy
Expensive but very good and so far worth the money

Well worth it
Plenty of cheaper walking sticks with seats, but I am really delighted with the build quality of this item so only can assume it's worth the extra expects

Really good, just need to upgrade the handle
Nice stick, it's light, but feels very stable when walking or sitting and adjustable to height. I'm a little concerned as to how long the plastic closure clip will last, it looks as though it may snap, but I'm hopeful. It comes with a nice bag to keep it in as is great for me - I have ME/CFS and have to sit regularly if walking and cannot stand still for more than a few minutes. This feels secure so I can sit properly and not perch. My only complaint is the handle - for such an expensive item you'd hope for a handle that doesn't cause blisters - I will have to try to find something to wrap it with as it's hard, textured plastic and my hand has blistered - apart from that, it's great

Will I get some stick?
Not tried it outside yet as I’ve just received it. Indoors it works as it should, as I tentatively sat my 17 stone posterior on it. Lighter than I thought so hopefully I don’t get arm ache using it. I think I’ll probably look more like an ageing old man with it rather than a “ English man in New York”, but hope to get lots of empathy. Perhaps it will stop people asking me to do lots of physical jobs for them 😃. I’ll have to get over that initial self conscious state using it out and about. I think it has the appearance more of a folded umbrella rather than a walking stick(or a shotgun-to deter muggers 😉). I went for the Pro 2 as I thought I’d go for the best and it looks as though it’s built to last for someone of my weight, although I can understand those wanting the MK1 model for its slender looks. It’s not cheap but as it’s a one off purchase and you want the best, you pay your money and take your choice. The Pro 2 alleviates the concern about its length as it’s adjustable. I’m 5’ 10” and the middle setting seems perfect and so it should accommodate those of lesser height than me and those around 6’, albeit people have different arm lengths etc. I don’t go out of my house much being 70 and a bit seized up. I also get out of breath and knee, back and muscle pain kick in after a short distance (👂where are those violins coming from? 🙂). I’m hoping my new ‘cane’ will allow me some walks in the park etc during the warmer weather, as I will need to use it to have a nice sit down after a short distance. I’ll see if my walking range improves as I continue to use it-as people keep telling me it will (if I just get off my lazy backside 🙂). Lastly the extra cash gives you an unfolding lever to hang the thing up. It also has a mobile phone holder as no one can go for more than 5 minutes now without wanting to use their phone. I can imagine a passer by of lesser repute doing a swipe and run to alleviate you of the habit. I think I’d have designed it for the phone alone, as I use mine in a folding wallet, but it requires you use one of those simple protective surrounds-which admittedly a lot of people have. So in conclusion-I’m very pleased with it so far and looking forward to taking it for a test run-from the boot of my car 😊.

Essential Tool for Living with M.E.
As someone with M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), managing energy levels and avoiding post-exertional malaise is a daily challenge. The Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO has quickly become one of the most practical tools I own. Why it works for me: *Energy-saving: Standing in queues, waiting for transport, or even pausing on a short walk can be draining. Having a seat instantly available helps me stick to my pacing plan and rest before symptoms flare. *Lightweight and easy to carry: I don’t have much strength on bad days, but this is surprisingly light and manageable—even for someone with fatigue and muscle weakness. *Quick setup: When I need to sit, I really need to sit. The seat flips out in seconds with minimal effort—no fiddling or complicated steps. *Discreet and confidence-boosting: I sometimes feel self-conscious using mobility aids, but this feels more like a smart gadget than medical equipment. It gives me back a bit of independence. Things to keep in mind: • The seat is best for short rests, not long sitting periods. • It works best on flat surfaces. Grass or soft ground can be a little tricky. • I’d recommend checking the height to make sure it suits your frame—too high or low can affect comfort. Honestly, for anyone with M.E. who struggles with orthostatic intolerance, fatigue crashes, or just needs to stop and rest now, this is an incredibly helpful mobility aid. I wish I had found it sooner.

Fabulous quality and works.
This is a 6 ****** product,I first used it at our hotel before going to football and I could have sold 5 of them. Works perfectly, feels and looks quality and at football,a poor old guy with 2 sticks walked by and said,I could do with 1 of those. Great quality build by the look and feel about it buy one.

A sharp intake of breath...
That's just for the price. Anything for the aged or infirmed is overpriced in terms of what you physically get. So my number one question was what can it do to improve your life. I have Aviolitis, which reduces my oxygen input. Ie my energy level. Over 20 years I've tried various stick/canes. When I run out of puff I need to get into recovery mode. Sit down. This is an easy to carry stick. In seconds it turns into a seat. I'm immediately in recovery mode. In reality I've spent a lot of money on a novel design which has day by day, a positive effect on my life. I view the rather over priced stick as an investment in my future. Definitely well made and becomes a comfortable seat in seconds. Resets to become a cane around 5 to 10 seconds. Their are several models/prices to chose from.

Higher Sitting Load
Expected Delivery Date: November 6 Actual Arrival: November 2 The item arrived earlier than expected, which is impressive but typical with Amazon Prime. Product / Item Details: • Material: Both versions have similar structural composition. • Weight: Gold2 is noticeably lighter than the previous model. • Mechanism: The previous model operated like an umbrella, requiring a press to open and collapse, with some manual folding. Gold2, however, functions more seamlessly, similar to a manual transmission without needing a clutch. • Capacity: The previous model supported up to 110kg, while Gold2 can handle up to 136kg. Verdict: Gold2 is lighter, supports a higher load capacity, and opens and closes in just 2 seconds. It also includes an integrated mobile phone holder and height adjustment.

The STEP2GOLD Ta-Do Series 2 PRO Portable Folding Walking stick is Great
Previously I purchased a portable folding walking stick before from Amazon. It did the job but it was a bit bulky and did not have the tripod structure like the Ta-Do folding walking stick. I find that this Ta-Do folding walking stick is less bulky and is lighter in weight. This walking-folding stick unfolds into a tripod shape with a seat to sit down on, which is pretty sturdy. The seat material is not that hard on your bottom. Also with this model, when in the seated position and you're waiting inline the handle has a means to lock your phone in, and its pretty secure in place. When your ready to get up, all you have to do is step back off the seat, grab the handle and lift the seat tab up that brings the tirpod into a single piece, and use the snap on the seat to lock it closed. Easy peasy! As for storage, the Ta-Do Folding Walking stick comes with a handy carrying case with shoulder strap to store your walking folding stick in. I think this Step2Gold Ta-Do series 2 Pro is worth the price for a solid walking cane and a means to convert into a decent seat when in those moments you need to take a load off you feet and low back (I have a VA disability on my back and prolong standing is a problem for me). Finally, I like the ability to adust the height of the Folding walking stick to fit my 5'11" height.
