This is an 8 book collection, featuring the adventures of Stanley Lambchop, a ordinary boy who wakes up one day having been flattened by the weight of a bulletin board that fell on him in the night. Can Stanley adjust to his new super skinny look and what adventures and mayhem lay ahead for him?Te series is beautifully illustrated, with bright fun covers and black and white printed images within the story itself. They are well written, although can seem slightly dated in places with the language used (considering the original came out in the 60s this is perhaps to be expected). They each have a contents of the chapters and are consistent in length, at around 80-100 pages per book. They are the perfect length for a few days bedtime reading, or an afternoon immersed in his exploits, as he travels the globe (and beyond) and helps people with various challenges along the way.I can't fault the set- a great price and good quality. The only slight quibble is that it is not clearly obvious what order the books should be read in, and some feature a brief recap at the beginning which could spoil the fun if you read them in the wrong order. There have since been several more books added to the series by different authors, but this collection gives you a solid starting point with the first 8, which are sure to bring hours of fun and intrigue.
