I was a tool and die maker for years (retired). This tool is made the way a Machinist would make it. It's accurate and made well. I have absolutely no complaints about its material or construction. If you need to install draw bolts in your project, this tool is the best that I've seen. A little on the pricy side, but good quality costs money. I have no regrets. I would recommend this tool

I guess you need some type of jig for the cross dowell, this is it. I am a Woodpecker fan, and I usually get their products through them direct. I didn't this time, cause Woodpecker guys are always slow in sending one. I'd rather needed this one fairly quickly, so I used Amazon. I guess Amazon pressures them to send out quickly for a few bucks more. In regard to the accuracy and workmanship, I recommend Woodpecker, my hands down.

High quality jig. It takes a little bit of practice to set the barrel nuts to except the bolt, but well worth it. Yes it is accurate.

As with any jig practice on scrap to get the results you need. Clamping the gig was the only issue. Once it's clamped tight and you clear out the chips the jig worked flawlessly.
