Q: What is the cage adapter? is this something i will need for this filter to work in a 2020+ bullfrog a7? opening on this is bigger than the original.

The 2020 A series should come with the cage adapter. The Cage Adapter is inserted into the filter end that does not have the notch. To secure the filter, screw the cap on the side of the filter that has the notch.
