Rambo - The Complete Collection (1-4 Box Set) [DVD]

Rambo is one of my favourite movies. I'm so pleased I've got the boxset on Blu-ray now. The only movie missing from this boxset is Last blood which I also brought on blu-ray. I have seen these movies countless times but I still enjoy them as much when I first saw them. Definitely worth buying and owning.

First: It is Blu-Ray and not a cheap copy of the DVD.From movie to movie it gets even better.The sound is well mixed. That means that you are not pushedfrom your seats when explosions occur. The balance between speach and effects is perfect.Except of the fourth part "John Rambo" you have nearly no extras.Only one interview with Sly, but this is worth a look.Of course there are no cuts. You can enjoy the complete movies.This is interesting for german costumers. They also find the uncutgerman-version on this. Very nice.Good quality, price is fair. Clear recommandation!

This is one of those sets you need to have if you are a Rambo fan. And it never gets old, no matter how much you watch it. I am a big Rambo fan and this was something I had to have in my collection.The first and second ones are the best films in the set but you couldn't have the first 2 without the 3rd and 4th film. These are one of the best Sylvester Stallone film sets I have ever watched and they are well worth having in any collection.

Four action packed films and are really great to rewatch over and over again. Especially if you haven’t seen them before I would buy, you won’t be disappointed.

This 4 disc collection brings together the 4 Rambo films starring Sylvester Stallone into one easy package. All have been nicely mastered and are well presented.First Blood: the original, and in my opinion, the best. It is a thoughtful and well put together film which examines the attitudes of America to its returning Vietnam veterans. John Rambo is drifting around until he meets Brian Dennehey's tough sherriff, who sets out on a personal mission to drive Rambo out of town. Pushed too far by the police, Rambo snaps and goes on the run, using all his survival expertise to deter those hunting him until he decides finally to take explosive vengeance on the town that broke him. It has its fair share of big action set pieces and lots of shots of Sly hitting, shooting and stabbing things, but it is essentially an excellent character study of one man pushed to his limit and another man's obsession. It also does not live up to its violent reputation, Rambo only kills one person, and that is by accident.First Blood 2 - Here the series starts to get silly. Rambo is asked to go on a deniable black op into Vietnam in peacetime to suss out a camp where some American soldiers might still be held even after the cease of hostilities years before. Cue Rambo's one man mission to rescue the soldiers against all the odds after he is cut off by his duplicitous superior. There are lots of explosions as he blows up anything he can and kills everything that moves. It's big, loud, daft, and a whole lot of fun. Stallone tries to put in some character study, but this movie is all about the big bangs and the body count.First Blood 3 - Rambo goes off on a one man mission to save his old boss, Colonel Troutman, from nasty Russian types in the depths of Afghanistan. As with First Blood 2, this film is all about big bangs and body counts as Rambo wreaks havoc all around, managing to save the Colonel and singlehandedly winning the war against the Russkies for the Mujahadin in the process. It's very very silly (especially the helicopter/tank duel) but very well shot big action adventure that really entertains.Rambo - The fourth film in the series finds Rambo leading a quiet life in the East. Some missionaries get into trouble in Burma, and it is up to an ageing Sly to get them out. Stallone fits back into the role with remarkable ease, and gives a pretty good performance of a man torn by his desire for the quite life and the knowledge that he is a man of action and it is his destiny to act. It is by far bloodier and more gruesome than any of its predecessors, but still an entertaining film.All in all a great box set with three silly but entertaining films and one more serious and actually very worthy film. A highly recommended buy!

Clean clear and fantastic transferCollects: first blood 1982, Rambo 2 1985, Rambo 3 1988 and Rambo 2007.With each film getting bigger body counts blood and gore. All uncut including the horse falls/ trips on Rambo 3.Shame about the extras. However you do get more and drop the forth film with the German version, I.e Rambo trilogy ultimate collection.Highly reccomendThank you amazon

Rambo fait partit des films culte de mon enfance, mais voilà, les version DVD ne sont pas top, surtout pour rambo 1 ou il y a comme un film blanchâtre constamment.J'ai testé cette version Blu-ray, et bah ceux qui ne l'ont pas doivent remédier au problème !On redécouvre la trilogie comme si elle venait de sortir, des paysages somptueux aux couleurs profonde et chaleureuse, un Stallone en full HD juste remarquable lors des gros plan sur le personnage (on voit parfaitement chaque détails, chaque goûte d'eau sur son corps).Le son est travaillé en DTS 5.1, évidemment ce n'est pas un vrai 5.1, mais il y a quelques effets bien sympa, ce qui en + de l'image, permet de vraiment redécouvrir ces films et de replonger dedans pour nôtre plus grand plaisir.EXCELLENT travail pour cette réédition, à acheter les yeux fermer ! ! !Quand au 4, pas grand chose à dire, quand on prend ce coffret, c'est surtout pour profiter de la remasterisation des 3 premiers (surtout du et 1 et 2).

also alle Filme sind 100% uncut und teil 1-3 sind mit deutscher sprache auswählbar (das schreib ich weil das viele wissen wollen). Aber der 4. Teil "John Rambo" ist NICHT in deutscher sprache. Dennoch TOP KAUFEN! :)

Bom pack obrigatório para os fãs de Rambo. No entanto a qualidade de imagem dos primeiros 3 filmes podia ser bem melhor... A tradução das legendas para os primeiros 3 filmes também podia ser bem melhor pois muitas das legendas não correspondem ás falas reais dos filmes... E para finalizar faltam extras nos primeiros 3 filmes pois o único extra que têem é uma entrevista de 8 minutos que curiosamente é a mesma em todos os 3 filmes, o que realmente é uma pena pois uma edição como esta merecia um monte de extras. O 4° filme é o melhor em imagem e extras no entanto não tem legendas em português o que é mau. Mas no geral estou satisfeito pois em Portugal não consigo achar nenhum filme do Rambo em Blu ray.
