A big improvement.
The old ones were falling apart, so this is an improvement. A spray with silicone spray helps with installation.

Replaced Original SST16 seat springs
This fits JD SST16 (oem# M146683), even though not mentioned in description. Solid rubber, vs original hard foam part. I think this will last longer. Fits in slot(s) and the hard top cap on original one. Price was about same as other on Amz, but were in stock and shipped by Amz. Most JD dealers were same price for one vs two. recommend for SST16.

Good seat springs
I have a JD 335 lawn tractor. These seat springs are a good replacement to the original springs. These are a bit less forgiving that the original springs. Make the seat more firm. I can feel the bumps and dips in the yard more while mowing the grass now than before. Still well worth the price. Very easy to install.

The most important thing for me to know is
The replacement springs look the same as the original ones. I just got them about an hour ago so I can't tell you if they were easy to install. I will say the rubber is pretty hard and I may need to have help installing them.The springs are on my tractor and I was able to install them myself. I felt really good about that.
